Well, it looks like that new 30 minute experiment on GMA could be the replacement for The View come Fall 2017...

Seems like they had Tamron read the news in the first half hour. Then during Today's Take - Billy Bush came in via remote because he couldn't make it back to New York due to the LAX scare. They had him at the desk through one of the vertical monitors used on Sunday Today. The connection looked a bit laggy on the on set monitor. I'm not sure if he came from a insert studio in LA but his backdrop was the upstairs studio with the monitor Windows.

I think this pretty much kills any sort of move of CW to WSBK. I think that at this point they'd rather roll their dice with WHDH than move.

It's like a high school click and he is the new kid. They will do all kinds of stuff to haze him and see if he is "worthy" of the Today Show. You should never see this manifested on the air, and if the average viewer picks-up on the drama, then the chance of total failure is greater. Total Childish behavior, but it happens in just about every show/newsroom in America. Name the people "they" have hazed.... Ann Curry... Deb Norville... Feel free to add names if you wish.

Maybe this is why Kelly was worried about Live. It seems like she probably knew what GMA was planning and if this experiment worked out, it would replace her show. Because essentially it seems like the same show. Still if I was Michael I would have not taken this offer because if it does fail, then he would be no use to GMA. He isn't the best teleprompter reader, he gets tounge tied a lot (not fault of his own but the gap) and his interviews are a hit and miss. That's why I always say don't let money completely motivate you on accepting a job because it is so much more than that. I give this experiment at least til December. If it doesn't hurt the ratings then it is something you'll see on GMA for a couple of years if it does however, we will have a send off for Michael by January where they'll give him a new BS title but he isn't on the show full time anymore. Time will tell.

And in turn, partly reason why the CW/MNTV/Indy stations benefit from viewers is because of the decisions the almost all-news stations make, not because of content they have to make.

i guess she is the one "standing by for bulletin duty" in case something really big happens like one of the candidates getting shot or a major attack takes place on US soil. She would be the best person to do that, although they would fly Lester in to help out.

So after almost five years after moving its primetime news from 9pm to 10pm, WSBK 38 is moving its primetime news again to 8pm. This move will go in effect August 29th.

They are still trying to do the redemption story with him. He is damaged beyond belief, anything that he says becomes a meme. Why can't they bring back Keith Olbermann, he is needed especially with this heavy election cycle.
