  1. Yes, but they haven't shown the talent open for almost 2 years, nor made new ones for any of the new or timeshifted talent.

  2. At least the whole "Denver 7" debacle might finally get fixed now.

  3. Good. Once Sunny and Jenadiah came on, there was no need for Raven and her. Now the next person they need to get rid of/leave is Paula.

  6. Pretty much. WKYC found success in the late 90s with Ramona Robinson at 6/11 and the early evening talk duo of Ellen at 4pm and Dr. Phil at 5pm. Aside from their turnover between 2008-2012, they have shown remarkable stability. WEWS took forever to find a successor to Ted Henry, lost ratings powerhouses Oprah, WoF and J! in the span of a few months, and has been blowing up the roster of their morning show ever 15-18 months. (Note that one-time morning anchors Macie McInnis Jepson and Josh Boose are now newscasters/reporters for WTAM/1100 and iHeartMedia's 24/7 Total Traffic/News.) So in short, WKYC finally took advantage of WEWS's weaknesses and slowly ascended to #2 in the market, behind WJW.

  7. Paula has already been cut down to once a week- if that. Also, you can tell who's going to be at the desk the next day during the previous days promos. So, it looks like Sunny and Paula will be on tomorrow. Edit: I should add that now that Paula has had her appearances reduced, when she is on, she's made it a point to be extra annoying/contrarian. I keep hoping for Whoopi to cut her to shreds, but surprisingly, she's holding herself back.

  8. The rumors of the WCIU newscast's demise have been exaggerated. While only drawing about a 1.0/0.3 (not much different from the programming that previous filled the time slot), both stations are satisfied enough with the arrangement to continue for at least another year. "Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but sources said it was a one-year renewal at terms more favorable to Weigel than the previous two-year deal"...whatever that means. http://www.robertfeder.com/2016/12/08/u-renews-7-p-m-news-deal-abc-7/

  12. I don't have to tell you, but that title screams "redundant" like Nickelback screams "crappy rock music made for douchebags who drink Blue Ribbon".
