  2. Greetings from market 12 er... 212.... a Police Officer was shot in Detroit around 11 tonight. WXYZ now has an hour long 11pm on Sunday and they were doing a live report at 1158 on the story and mid sentence the reporter was cut off and they dumped right into commercials since it was automatically scheduled to end. How wonderfully embarrassing. One would hope there are ways to override the automation in the event they have to run longer. One would be wrong it would seem...

  3. The morning news now has Air 11 chopper reports maybe twice every half hour. Reporting traffic all over the area. With the reporter from CBS Radio 880. I noticed that, the last two mornings.

  4. I understand some of their concerns - there should be a prompter and an off air monitor at the minimum. They could have handled it much differently. As for things like the factoids or famous moments they talk about - they should do their research. I understand there are things that are expected to be prepared but they are the anchors of the show. This is an event they knew ahead of time and they should be brushing up on it. They should do their homework. It's not like they are being asked to do play by play. Hell if they can't be bothered they should download media guide or even Wikipedia which is filled with on facts.
