Shoot. Was just about to post the same video. Anyone catch the sports guy's name? I couldn't make it out.

Of course the gray/tan set with wood and blue accents was the "in thing" in the 1980s. (WJW and KOVR nearly identical sets above, obviously done by the same firm). I'm just curious if anybody knows what companies did designs/fabrication in that era and if they're still around?

The news open animation reminds me of how WBNS did their intro at the time. The news intro can be seen at 3:41 and believe me, it is rare.

FOX rolled out a beta version of their site redesigned for both FOX and FX networks as well as National Geographic channels. the site now combines all of them.

If KTUU 1990 was used in October 1989, it was a local composition. The top 2 sets (WJW and KOVR) were designed by Gil Jimenez. G&G Designs was a former business name. Gil is still working and now his business is Gil Jimenez Broadcast Design. I've worked with Gil in the past on a few projects.
