  2. With regards to KidsClick, it really doesn't help that WarnerMedia, Disney, Viacom, and Comcast own about 90% of the worthwhile stuff aimed at that demographic anyway and probably won't let them touch most of it. (Though Warner Bros., because Time Warner was a dysfunctional mess, has long shown a willingness/obligation to loan out the Ruegger and Timm/Dini shows, I am not sure they'd loan out their Looney Tunes/MGM/Hanna-Barbera crown jewels to anybody, or if that stuff is "too old" or what)

  3. This was mentioned in the shoutbox. I think it's an awesome choice, but I question whether they should have just continued with their Sharon Reed and Tracye Hutchins combo and break the long-standing anchor stigma that there has to be a lead male anchor and a lead female anchor, and at least one of them should be an ethnicity other than white on weeknight newscasts. It would be the third or fourth time Tracye was passed over for a position she deserves.

  5. A whole bunch of KDBC promos from 1991. Note the use of Turn To! These appear to predate the introduction of the squares look and use the preceding blue box logo, yet we might be *after* the 1990 theme. (Speaking of blue box logos on channel 4, Steve Savard worked here at the time!) Also dig the Turn To resing with the lyrics "It's time amigo / To let the world know"! KDBC must have been in flux. They might have been using Turn To in 1990, but that wasn't what they were using as late as October 1990 for opens. By October 1991, they had ditched everything, including the logo, and rebooted as News 4 (instead of News 4 El Paso) with the syndicated squares package and the KCBS/WNEV theme.

  8. Tracye certainly could be add in the 4 & 9pm news while Sharon and Thomas can be at 5,6,11pm standard. Sharon is consider the franchise, and worked with the news director in Cleveland, so we know she not going to leave. However some more pieces could be addes IMO.
