Larry is hosting a new weekend show on WGN, “Backstory,” which will delve into Chicago-related historical, cultural, and religious topics. It premieres Sunday, October 28th and runs for the subsequent 4 weeks, and new episodes will be produced periodically throughout the year. Good to see more original local programming on GN.3 points

There's some kind of font-impairment disorder at the Youngstown stations... Talk about an unholy mix of Gotham and Arial! At least the ticker blends in nicely with the graphics in News89's post...even though that adds Lato to the sea of fonts being used!!!2 points

A WTOC high school football highlights show from 1991. Includes some interesting promos and commercials. WTOC (CBS) also had Wheel and Jeopardy at the time, before they moved to WJCL (ABC). Now they are on WSAV (NBC). There can’t be many markets where those shows were on all of the Big Three stations at one time or another.1 point

My speculation is that KTSP debuted that set whenever Karen Carns jumped ship from KTVX in ‘89. Which just makes me wish I was watching that station in 1989 instead... WVVA Open in this compilation1 point
