  1. KVUE chief meteorologist Albert Ramon announced on social media that he will be leaving the station next week after 10 years there. His message said that the new opportunity was too good to pass up and he would still be covering Texas weather “extensively,” but coanchor Terri Gruca mentioned that he was headed to Chicago. The combination of those two pieces of information makes me suspect that he may be headed to News Nation.

  2. This channel's adding WALA material and it's a positive treasure trove. News film as old as Camille: There are 6 and 10pm newscasts from April 1982 (before the fall '82 theme change): A WALA sales presentation from 2002:

  4. WATN needs it, BAD. It's half Nexstar with the other half being the Tegna look (with the COVID-19 scheme) I'm sure it's all because of the pandemic and Tegna had these ready to roll out to their stations. But it looks really weird and hacked together. Almost as bad as when Newport was schlepping through its final days as WPTY ABC 24 only for Nexstar to save the day by killing their former sister stations down in Little Rock (KLRT/KSAN and stealing their set, literally!)

  5. It’s actually relatively large. According to NBC’s studio listing page it’s 4,170 sq FT. The largest studio I’d have to guess belongs to KABC where they have two 7,000 square foot sound stages and KABC’s set actually is circular and sits in the center leaving a good bit unoccupied.
