  1. I like seeing TJ Holmes fill in for Amy the past few days and the whole feel of the program.

  4. We’re heading into 4 months of social distancing, how hard is it to deep clean the place (which should have happen 3 months ago) and come up with comprehensive plan to create a ‘new normal’ so people can get back to work (particularly at CBSN). Most days, Anne Marie and Vladimir look like they just rolled out of bed. CBS really needs to get it together.

  5. Well yeah. It was professionally designed. It has a purpose. It wasn't trying to appeal to the lower common denominator. I mean, you can't convince me you don't want this umbrella. It wasn't trying to one-up their competitors with another flashy Hothaus pack, or whatever Linear Drift is doing with the | | | | | | | 's and > > > > > > > 's. This works. This is what TV stations should be striving for if they want to have a cohesive brand, not only on television but online. Armin nailed it at the end with the following: ...and it's true. Local TV stations generally have awful branding led with some people with zero understanding about the visual arts medium, yet this community is still adamant with sticking with the status quo. And yet people (not specifically you @channel2) wonder why he doesn't talk about local television, while WTSP has proven they are capable of producing gems like this one.

  7. You might have seen the FTV Live story about someone spamming the Nexstar breaking news email list with their side business. It came from a WXIN employee. Cheers to the weight loss, though.

  8. Fox is dabbling into streaming. The Fox stations are doing a live Coronavirus special weekdays 1-3 pm ET on their livestreams and Facebook live. It's being produced by KTVU with contributions from the other stations.

  9. Not to digress even further on the movie end of things, but the sex/violence issue is precisely why Disney started Touchstone Pictures in the 80's. They're just using Fox (a bigger, more well-known name) for that now.

  10. Some of you guys are way off. This new look is part of the 2019-2020 TV imaging campaign. They, like the other networks, often change up looks at the start of each new tv season. That said. The aforementioned image transitions to this... which isn’t new.

  13. WISN has no sister station, and only has a single digital subchannel, 12.2, which is currently the Justice Network (previously "Movies!"). WISN does not air news or any other local programming on 12.2. (WISN was also notable for being extremely late to add a digital subchannel in the first place. 12.2 didn't begin until August 2014.)
