One has to wonder if these promos were rush ordered by the network because what would be the sense in initially skipping over the 4pm news? I haven’t seen WABC running the promo outside of that first instance but the Chicago update looks much better.

Just a quick follow-up, the Chicago version of this promo was updated by the end of George's week (adding the 4pm news), and again as Robin takes over tomorrow.

Tracy mentioned on IG she was filling in for Rosemary Connors who's on vacation. Ted's usually their goto fill in on the weekends in either daypart.

The weatherman? Dr. George Fischbeck (or simply Dr. George); holder of AMS Seal #92, a bit of an unusual thing to have in LA.

Another KABC newscast, this one a 1972 one from Obsolete Video with what could be described as rather unusual shenanigans involving Stu Nahan and the KABC weatherman (don't recall his name) along with celebrity filled commercials (including future Dallas star Linda Gray in a Geritol ad and a National Airlines commercial featuring Kim Basinger as she was just starting out)

WLS is running a version of it, too, and it's really weird. They promote Jeopardy! at 3:30, Eyewitness News at 5, and WNT at 5:30, completely skipping over the juggernaut 4pm news. That stacked rundown at the end of the spot looks ridiculous, making it seem like J! is 90 minutes, which any sane person knows isn't true.

I have no idea who made the call on closing my account. Vimeo hasn't responded to my request - granted it was using the "Help" form on their page. Their page says "Email Us", yet they don't provide an email address. Most of their contact is accessible when logged in - and I can't log in... I'm pissed - 4 years worth of work spent uploading stuff is all gone... I'm just going to focus on the internet archive - and only stuff over 10 years old (I'll keep collecting current stuff, as that 10 year window keeps moving forward... At this point, if folks download content, so be it. I just want to share all that I have captured and collected over the years. I guarantee, like you said @VHSgoodiesWA, I doubt the local stations have any of this content in their archives - it takes a lot of space and time to manage, and with cost cutting measures everyone seems to be putting in place, a lot of the history is moot to them...

Both of Adam Joseph's kids tested positive for the Coronavirus. He has been off the air for the past few weeks, presumably because of this. Hopefully they get well soon.
