Someone, for the love of all things holy, please call Gray and tell them to delete this package from their system… Literally this is all I see..

I’ve always wondered about that as well as the other NBC 4’s, FOX 5 and CBS 2 affiliates.

Okay I'm just gonna say it before this thread turns insane: I don't think we need to see what each and every station's network overlay bug looks like.

EVERYTHING we've seen beyond this demo image says that WABC will only modify their logo (identical to the new WLS logo). And regarding your second point, yes, they coveted the channel 7's. There was a thought that channels 6 and under would eventually be scrubbed, so they pounced on what would've been the lowest/first dial position.

I feel like "out" and "leaving" are two different things.

Noticing that the WABC local station bug that appears in network promos is pixelated. Just like the rest of the ABC rebrand, it seems straight out of Microsoft Paint.

Looks like WEWS is starting to ride the new ABC logo wagon. I'm not making this up. Look at their Facebook avatar. WEWS using the new ABC logo transition has just begun.

It had been talked about for a while, but Mark Alford really is leaving WDAF-TV after 23 years. His last day is October 12.

I freaking knew it. The way that the network discontinued weeknight weather segments and dumped him off to the weekends was surely NOT what Albert signed up for a year ago. The minute they gave the weekday morning position to Gerard and not Albert, I figured Albert would not be long for NewsNation. The only thing that surprised me was that it came so soon, after only working one weekend (this past weekend). Hopefully this means he was able to secure another job somewhere. Best of luck to him, and hopefully the next place that hires him actually lets him stay in the position for which he was hired for more than one year.

I still prefer the extra note in the jingle. Maybe they will bring back the yellow graphics from the late 90's and early 2000's at some point as well.

All the Gray Packages can't effectively compete with the competition.

The design company has this reel on their website showcasing the work they did for ABC. Interestingly, the ABC logo is downsized in the affiliate logos on this reel. Based on this and what we’re seeing in the rollout, it’s clear the owned stations pushed back on the the original idea. Also noteworthy, it that this reel shows what would be a WABC logo, but with the network logo placed the way KABC or KGO would.
