  5. David and Natalie anchoring together tonight for what seems like the first time in weeks, if not months. Not sure if anyone here noticed, but last Friday's 4:00am TINY went on seven minutes late. They kept showing station promos until then, and they did not acknowledge the delay when they went on the air.

  7. My entire point here is that we don't know what is going to happen. The claim that "3K is history for WNBC" seems premature as the only thing we know is that the two stations are moving into a shared workspace. Shared workspaces does not equal new studios. Like I said, I hope WNBC does get a new set but there's no evidence at the moment to support that. Only speculation. I haven't forgotten that 30 Rock used to be filled with radio studios. But all of the radio studios that were capable of being transformed into television studios were converted over half a century ago. As for Studio 1A, it used to be a bank and the ceiling in that space, as is true for most ground floor retail space, is a story and half. In fact, the area over homebase didn't have a ceiling above it at all. You could look down from what is now the SPA into Studio 1A. But my aside about construction clearly became a distraction from the fact that neither B&C or NewscastStudio made any mention of WNBC getting a new studio.

  10. Ryan Field was supposed to go skydiving on a segment for WABC's annual "summer kickoff" special (airs every Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend), but the plane couldn't take off due to weather. They ended up sending him to iFly in Paramus instead.

  13. Still looks way better than literally every single Gray package in this thread. WOIO is the only one even close and that was technically made pre-Gray even though it debuted after Gray bought them. Although I will say, even the current Meredith look isn't as good as this was, such a shame this got dropped after only 2 years

  14. I've been holding back on commenting on the new WVUE graphics since it launched just to see what improvements or modifications would be made as usually once a package hits the air you see stations make a few tweaks to better fit the product and process. However, they've been saddled with technical issues and other mistakes that continue to this day (over a month in). Does anyone know what's going on? Specifically: - they can't get through a newscast (or usually even a segment) without a mismatch between graphics, video, and story (happens all the time during the opening teases or the coming up teases) - they can't get through a newscast (or usually even a segment) without an audio issue (you constantly hear an anchor start talking in the distance several seconds before their mic is brought up) - the graphics seem to fire randomly, interrupting stories or live reports - commercials inadvertently start during newscasts, and the talent seem unaware (during the weather hit, a commercial and a half played and David Bernard was still going as if he had no idea) - yesterday during a weather hit in the 7am hour, the screen went black for about 2 minutes and came back to Nicondra doing her weather hit unaware (seen on both YouTube TV and my OTA DVR) Before the graphics change, WVUE was on par with some of the national outlets, mistake-free and very well-produced. Now they're lucky to go a segment without a glitch of one sort or another. I feel bad for everyone that's there, you know they don't want this. But what is going on?
