  1. And.....seattle11.com, boston38.com, florida33.com and sacramento31.com. I strongly doubt every station will go with these brandings. "KCAL" (& even "KCAL 9" ftm) is a stronger brand than a generic "Los Angeles 9" or "LA 9". Sad that "california9.com" was already taken.....

  2. They also grabbed philadelphia57.com. Smart move. Not that anyone's more likely to manually type (or peck on their phones) "philadelphia57.com" over "philly57.com", of course...

  6. Yeah, Rosanna is especially vocal anytime a story about restaurant regulation comes up. It’s particularly egregious because her family owns Fresco by Scotto in midtown east. No idea why Fox 5 seemingly doesn’t have an issue with blatant bias.

  7. The font is Barlow. It’s free to use. Makes sense why multiple station groups use it, one less thing to pay to license for 100+ stations…

  9. The GrayOne package looks nice and all, but I still hate the main font. I thought I read somewhere it was chosen because it was "easy on the eyes?" And the fact that Nexstar has a package that uses it in many markets....

  11. I still maintain that Savannah Guthrie is one of the weakest anchors in Today’s history BUT she really shines as part of NBC’s breaking news coverage given her legal background.

  12. It's a base graphics package that both stations' meteorologists have customized for their needs. If you don't like the way it looks on KTRK, well, that's the way their meteorologists have decided to use it. It's essentially a LEGO set. They were sent a box of parts, and this is how they've assembled them. There's nothing more that can be said about this.

  13. I think we've gone over the weather graphics debate enough. People love to claim on here that viewers will switch away from Channel X in droves because they adopted the Tegna music, or because the weather graphics aren't "weathery" enough, and are almost always proven wrong. It's not even worth my time to rebut the absurd claims being made.

  14. Granted Marcy Carsey isn’t involved in the series, but I’m surprised they didn’t have Carsey-Warner Distribution handle syndication and digital distribution of The Conners, in line with the parent series… funny considering Carsey-Warner still technically exists, on account of it producing That ‘90s Show (another spinoff of one of their properties) for Netflix, along with continuing to syndicate its previous series for television and streaming. Having Lionsgate/Debmar-Mercury syndicate The Conners would make more sense if they had the distribution rights to the rest of the Carsey-Werner library (or at least, Roseanne). Otherwise, anyone wanting to carry both Roseanne and The Conners has to reach out to two different distributors to run two directly related shows.
