I would have to disagree. Y&R gained strength at 12:30 because it had a jump on Days and All My Children which started at 1 PM. The two soaps you listed: Port Charles and Loving, did poorly in the ratings because they had to go up against Y&R which has been the highest rated soap since 1988.

I hope Haley Meier enjoyed her one day off yesterday. She was on Thursday and Friday in for Kelly Costa, hosted her own show Sat/Sun, filled in for Kelly Costa again on Monday, had Tuesday off, and filled in for Steve Bender today. I think today was her first time hosting one of the regularly-scheduled weekday live shows, as opposed to the pre-recorded loop style of shows, or the overnight special hurricane coverage, that she has hosted to date. If my calculations are correct, Marissa Torres is one month or less away from maternity leave. If Steve Bender is going to be hosting a new show, I wonder if that entails bringing an end to their current pairing.

It’s not inevitable it goes to Paramount Plus. It’s entirely possible to just send it to the graveyard of TV shows. The midday CBS affiliate newscasts in the east would sill have Price as a lead in, for whatever that’s worth. And what station manager wouldn’t prefer the extra revenue for little extra investment in resources?
