I must say I agree with this assessment, I do not see Mike as Bill's successor but that is only my opinion. I would much prefer David Novarro; Mike seems a good fit for the mornings now with Shirleen and I don't think they'd want to mess that up. But reality does seem to suggest that they are grooming Mike for that position (by frequently having him appear on the Friday 11pm in addition to his morning shift.) Another wildcard would be to bring out Phil Lipof back to WABC in a more prestigious role although I don't see them doing that.

Star Harvey announced that she is leaving on 11/3. No word on where she's going, but it's not New York. Wouldn't be surprised if she ended up back in LA or at least California based on her social media posts and frequent visits back there.

So with the Weekend News moving to 57, do we foresee renovations to 47 to eventually bring the Evening News back to its longtime home?

I wonder how many people actually watch the networks' evening (6:30pm ET) news shows live and how many watch them later (via DVR, their cable companies' on-demand services, or Paramount+/Hulu/Peacock) after their kids are in bed or they've finished the other shows they want to watch or they get done with all the stuff they need to do at home or they get home from social gatherings.
