  1. That monitor on the noon is a few pixels away from being forced to air a Sinclair must-run with Boris Epshteyn.

  2. FOX5 updated its screen art, and it looks really nice. (only Good Day and The Noon)

  3. Good point, this could be another layer of complexity for an on-air upgrade by having to upgrade to a new CG instead of simply loading in a new graphics package. Since most stations use the Adobe Creative Suite, these promo projects are very easy to distribute and customize on the local level.

  4. Not like CBS has had to pay over a billion in settlements for airing lies. Can we see all of trump's outtakes from various interviews? Should be good for a laugh and eye roll.

  5. Another conservative group that doesn't understand that TV stations, even the network flagship, don't control their network's content, filed an FCC complaint to have WCBS's licensed pulled because of editing in the 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris. They'd be better off making up an EAS tone mis-use or that the E/I Lucky Dog sold t-shirts with the show's logo in an ad on accident since that's all the FCC takes action on TV-wise these days.

  6. But if Vance says A and Walz says B, the average viewer may just believe whoever they're voting for. The purpose of network fact-checking is for a neutral third party to let the audience know what the truth is. As the old saying goes if one person says it's raining and the other person says it's sunny it's the journalist's job to clarify what's actually happening based on evidence, not simply afford both parties a soundbite. This is why social media companies are in such trouble. You cannot let people use your broadcast platform to spread misinformation and not do anything about it

  7. Not fact-checking during debate leaves the American public at a disservice because it allows candidates to make any claims. I also wish CBS followed the other networks by muting mics to avoid cross-arguing

  8. Sadly, like the CNN presidential debate between Biden vs. Trump in June, the co-moderators won't be doing any fact checking in the CBS vice presidential debate at all. It is a shame, because Brennan is one of the best interviewers among the Sunday morning political show hosts indeed. More importantly, fact checking in debates, particularly with regard to the upcoming consequential U.S. presidential election, is critically important, in my humble opinion.

  9. Not a rule just a preference... I think there's generally better energy with dual anchors on a local broadcast.
