  1. Today's staffing is going to be different (on every channel), like all other years due to the holiday and allowing many anchors and staff to be home with their families. I would not use today as a reason to question about regular assignments.

  2. Netflix gets some creativity points for actually having a dedicated graphics package built around their logo (with CBS producing, I thought it was going to be just a rebranding of their graphics per the precedent of the Yahoo games from earlier). Though this scoreboard looks a bit iffy, almost like it's a preseason game on a Gray station. Not to mention the preseason-like errors (such as the Steelers somehow starting the game with only two timeouts)

  3. Yesterday on Christmas Eve, I was taking a little break from the news cycle but I did see a little bit of Omar Lewis doing double duty at 11am and 10pm but I'm not making a big deal out of it because it is the holidays and the main anchors deserve time off because of the holiday season. Merry Christmas everyone.

  5. What's also excessive is how the Los Angeles market collectively has newscasts filled between the hours of 4am and 11:35pm weekdays (with the exceptions for time off in the 1pm hour for "Off the Clock," which is technically produced by the KTLA news department as well as 7:30pm).

  7. A good point to note from the story on their website... rightfully so this move. Over the next few days, you may notice national news programs or syndicated programming in place of local news while ABC13 grieves our loss.
