  1. I'd be loving the new CBS Evening News look if I was in a total vacuum and knew nothing about what Skydance and Bari Weiss have done to the place. They had a good thing with Scott Pelley. Too bad it was the old boys' club that messed that up. It's been a dumpster fire ever since. And that was before the latest chapter with Bari Weiss and Tony Dokoupil. The stunts he's pulled in the last few days are almost as up there as the shenanigans that got Megyn Kelly bounced from the Today Show. Someone check on the graves of Edward R. Murrow, William Paley and Walter Cronkite, because they are likely spinning at a furious pace right now. (Douglas Edwards as well, but he was cremated)

  2. NBC isn’t waiting to debut new NFL graphics at Super Bowl LX this year. They will debut them at Sunday night’s Chargers-Patriots Wild Card game, marking the first time this practice has been in use since 2015.

  3. Hurts badly? Thats a bit dramatic. This wasnt a surprise. He anchored an unwatchable newscast (not his fault), that was in last place forever. It should have been shut down years ago. WLNE put on one of the worst newscasts anywhere. I know.. not their fault.

  4. After 40+ years at WSVN 7 and the last 27 doing Help Me Howard, Patrick Fraiser has officially retired, but the franchise will continue with Brandon Beyer taking over with Broward County public defender Howard Finkelstein. https://wsvn.com/news/help-me-howard/help-me-howard-final-episode-for/

  5. 30 years ago tonight, a refurbished and relaunched version of 7:30 began on WSVN 7 with Kelley Mitchell and Jessica Aguirre. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of it but its called... Deco Drive. An entertainment news program that fits South Florida well. I mean, its survived 30 years at this point. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1269520051663057&id=100058152218055

  6. I get it. Its not his fault WLNE's news were unwatchable. But in all honestly, he was the last recognizable face of the station. All credibility for that station has been gone already, but whatever was left... Just left the building today. And I'm sorry, but I had to say it that way. I've watched him for years. He was committed to the station, even if it was in last place. He is absolutely fantastic and this doesn't sound like it was his choice to leave... it sounds like Sinclair forced him out so they can get closer to consolidating the news on both stations. I really do hope WJAR (main channel) or WPRI brings him along, unless he has decided to retire as a result.

  7. I'm pretty sure they now lease a new Chopper 6. I've seen footage from it. Just recently, this morning.

  8. I mean, The Onion ran this satirical "ad" in its print edition in December. https://www.facebook.com/TheOnion/posts/pfbid024saN4i8FSPSCTbrztDZTHqNQJuwN7pjUebkL8hmzAN6vpAfzHeszfJEsMu5f72V5l

  10. The anchor of the CBS Evening News actually said "Marco Rubio, we salute you!" at the end of the broadcast tonight. The "story" was an "Only In America" puff piece on the fact that Rubio has many titles in the Trump administration and made it seem like The Entire Internet is celebrating him with AI pics. Seems like something The Onion might have imagined CBS News pulling these days. Ridiculous.

  11. Google Earth from October 2025 shows the footings of the new building. The red circle marks the spot where they'll have a ~5000 fq ft circle 7 logo
