  1. But that relevant internet is just like that CIA Crack....it's sucking your brains out quicker. TV sucked our (analog creatures) brains at much slower rates, because we had time to digest all the media we were exposed to. Now you young-uns got all that near field RF exposure at much higher rates....and those video games, free tranny porn and Candy Crush has made all your millennial asses bigger than a Kardashians. (Sluuuuurrrrrrppppp) You keep placing all those eggs of yours in that "Internet is Everything " basket... When the power goes out, and the Norks bomb San Francisco (and Austin) , I will watch you whine and bitch that you can't get your uber, back page hookers or deal dash meals because Kim Jun Un nuked your net nodes. Gurgle, gurgle Sluuuurrrrrpppppppp!!!!

  2. A KCBS Action News Sports special from April 1992. Note the secondary set, best recognizable as part of their 1986 set:

  3. Got some good old footage of WSOC, which goes back even to the early '80s (a rare find for channel 9). This was a report on Bill Walker's co-anchors over the time talking about his retirement (you even see old footage of Doreen Gentzler before her NBC days!) The first clip (around 1978) shows an open similar to that of WAGA and the Outlet stations. Also, "The News Image" is heard during a news tease (possibly 1984?)

  7. EyeOnTV's back; among his additions, this, the first real artifact of the 1988 affiliate switch in Knoxville. The only video related to this event up until now was...this. Now, at the end of this parable, there was implication that WBIR had made a big mistake ending their long-standing partnership with CBS in order to hook up with NBC, now coated in that Cosby luster. It wasn't a mistake, though; WBIR would eventually become one the country's most dominant stations.

  8. Golly Eat, don't burst the kid's bubble. Or better yet, don't crush the boy's candies. Let him have a taste of ATSC3.0 before his dreams get shattered.
