Why does MyNetworkTV even still exist? I've never understood why stations brand themselves around a two hour block of reruns. Some stations even show the programming in the middle of the night and not during primetime.

I thought Kaitlan did an excellent job maintaining her composure while fact-checking lies in real time and asking important follow-ups. It was a tough assignment and I feel gross for having watched it, but she probably told some Republicans watching it some facts that they had never before even heard. And yes, she was the White House reporter for The Daily Caller, but if you watch her, you know she has always been tough and fair on the former guy. She was fresh out of college and got a job there. Don't hold it against her. Look at her work. She's excellent. (Yes, I am a fan.)

I just can't picture Nexstar being able to fit both operations at either location unless they were to expand the building. If they're going to keep both entities as a semi-separate operation, then they would be wise to start looking at other places they could purchase/remodel. Either way you slice it, any move(s) Nexstar makes will come with backlash from KUSI's audience. The channel has a niche audience that is not sustainable on it's own. They do run a pretty lean operation there, so any efficiencies will probably be minimal. The biggest question will be: will they completely dismantle the anchor teams or shift them to different hours as to not compete with FOX 5?

CNN deserves to continue failing miserably. They've been on this re-identification thing for 10+ years now and not once have they considered going back to what made them a household name.

McKinnon is only selling full-power signal to Nexstar. The sale does not include the Temecula repeater. I think I read in the paperwork that the permit for the LP expires later on this week (5/12), so no word if McKinnon is going extend it or not. And no word on what they'll do with that repeater after the KUSI sale is completed.

Wonder if the fact Trump walked all over her in the Town Hall will give anyone second thoughts. Then again, she got her start at the Daily Caller, so maybe she had no intention of putting up much of a fight.

They should continue that. It‘s regularly beating WTXF’s 10pm in the ratings.

Paperwork is now up!!! On the local tv ownership compliance attachment, it said (according to the Nielsen March 2023 data) KUSI is ranked within the top-4, and KSWB is ranked fifth. And just to clairify, this is overall viewership (from sign-on to sign-off) and not just during newscast timeslots.

Translation: WPHL, WTTA, and KRON.

Would someone explain something to me please? Why do so many Tegna stations have QVC, QVC2, SHOP LC, & HSN on their digital sub channels? Does Tegna make bank off of these sub channels?? It would seem to me that something like Movies! or Weather Nation TV or Comet would do better at retaining viewers?? The set is okay. I have no real issue with it. The graphics on the other hand just screams CHEAP. You can also tell that the opens tried to mimic the CBS O&O look in a way animation-wise, but overall, it just looks awful compared to the other stations in the market.

NBCU licenses all ten hours of the lineup in the form of reruns, so it's on them for their continued existence...despite indies themselves often programming two hours of Dateline on weeknights at the same time, and True Crime Network and ID carrying reruns, along with the Dateline Peacock channel itself! It borders on either non-sensical or roadblocking Dateline on everything they can.
