  1. It has been deleted. What was it?
  2. I assume Phil will be in for Tracy Monday and Tuesday before things reset to normal on Wednesday.
  3. Heck, most stations across the country can't justify a second anchor at noon, let alone a third or fourth.
  4. No, Larry was anchoring when I watched during the 7am hour.
  5. Marcus Leshock is anchoring all 6 hours of the morning news today. Basically half of their on-air staff seems to be off today.
  6. Hosea was in the hospital? What happened? I hope he's ok...
  7. They do that in smaller markets. I feel like the responsibility of a top 3 market is to run a late newscast no matter how late it is. If you have to send one of the two anchors home or use substitutions for anchors or the other roles as necessary, you still want to put on a live late newscast if you're a top 3 market.
  8. Alan Krashesky and Cheryl Burton are holding down the fort on the WCIU newscast tonight. It's definitely a funny holiday weekend quirk when the A-team is available, but everyone else is off.
  9. I liked the holiday color scheme during the midday show today. Too bad they're not using it during the evening news.
  10. At the time, that set felt fancy compared to the set they came from before that.
  11. Hard to believe how quickly this week came.
  12. I think he was in Monday and Tuesday this week.
  13. Revision #9037 to the sports graphics: the lower thirds have been changed to a more traditional format instead of trying to fit everything on a single line. This is much better.
  14. As I recall, his on-air shift was weekday afternoons on CLTV. I can only assume he'll still retain that role 2-3 days a week while Tim McGill does the other days.
  15. Good. This does sound like either a permanent change or a sweeps change. It seems better this way.
  16. Joe started at 6pm. Ben apparently did the 5pm because the 4pm news was a quick 7-minute broadcast that was shortened by the Cubs game. Lourdes, on the other hand, only stayed on the air for the quick 7-minute newscast and finished after that. Micah started at 5pm. Looks like Tom Skilling is off the entire night.
  17. Aren't we still in Sweeps? Surprised to see Joe Donlan and Tom Skilling off tonight. Maybe they caught an ugly May sickness like I did this weekend.
  18. They want to make sure that nobody knows how many runners are on base.
  19. Agreed. This one seems like a bad idea.
  20. I can't believe they decided to make the score graphic even smaller.
  21. Two notes for WGN Sports... 1) Apparently "Tuesday Night Baseball" is a new ad campaign. They apparently have Cubs or White Sox games scheduled for most Tuesdays throughout the season. 2) They have made some improvements to the graphics package and have bolded the statistics to help them stand out better.
  22. Bent on making the overall concept of the score graphic work, they have inverted the color scheme in hopes that it will improve visibility of the base and out indicators.
  23. And I would figure Sinclair's response would be, "And there's the door."
  24. Looks like the White Sox presentation is the same as the Cubs. Same blue colors, even the same music. EDIT: The music might have a slightly different tone to it?
  25. Even though the Cubs game went to 11:30 on a Friday night, neither of the anchors went home early, and Tom Skilling is still there. Surprising.
