  1. KDKA had the Eyewitness News name until '96, 'BZ had it until '93, and 'JZ had it until either '17 or '18. It would be nice if the EWN name would make a comeback on KD, BZ, and JZ. And personally, I wish my home station had the EWN name in DFW.
  2. With Vic gone, they can bump Dan Gray to main anchor at KTVI. I don't know if they's going to happen, but that's my prediction.
  3. 4. I remember Bret Lewis was the 10pm sports anchor at KDFW in the early 1980's before moving to South Florida's 7.
  5. Well, I don't. NBC does this, it's going to lose viewership and ratings at the 10pm/9pm slot.
  6. KYW just made the switch as well. https://www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/
  7. It's a double whammy in Boston and WBZ. We lost Bruce Schwoegler last week, now WBZ mourns the loss of Uma Pemmaraju. Uma started her career at KENS 5 in San Antonio, then moved to KTVT/Dallas-Ft. Worth, and WMAR/Baltimore. Uma moved to Boston to anchor and report at WLVI and WBZ in Boston before moving to FOX News Channel in '96. Prayers and condolences to Uma's daughter and family in this difficult time. https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/video/former-wbz-anchor-and-reporter-uma-pemmaraju-has-died/
  8. I'll give NBCND about... 13 weeks. Because I don't see it happening.
  9. Any changes in the program lineups in DFW?
  10. I just hope the FCC gives the big fat "NO!" to Tegna on the deal.
  11. It's about time 19/43 get a new broadcast facility.
  12. Sorry folks, my YT channel is off the air until I start a new one this fall. I'm sure by now you all know my YT channel was hacked.
  13. I wished that KCBS and WBBM would've had WCBS logo.
  14. One note, Robb also worked at WHTM in the early 90's, then WABC, WFOR, and WHP. RIP Robb and Godspeed. https://www.abc27.com/news/top-stories/longtime-anchor-robb-hanrahan-dies/ https://www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/former-cbs4-news-anchor-robb-hanrahan-dead/ WABC had not mentioned Robb's passing on the stations website, but it'll be on the station's 11pm newscast tonight.
  15. So that explains why Decades (currently on 55.2) is moving to 55.6.
  16. IIRC, Cecilia was working nights as chief doing the weather at 9pm.
  17. Godspeed Johnny Beckman... Atlanta's legendary weatherman. WSB, WXIA, and WGNX (WGCL) were lucky to have a meteorologist like Johnny. JB, say hi to another weather legend; Harold Taft from all of us here.
  18. This has been an exceedingly difficult time for Washington DC TV News with the loss of Doug, Renee, Bruce, and now Wendy. But another WRC, WNBC alumni and former anchor of the Today show Jim Hartz passed away last weekend at the age of 82. https://deadline.com/2022/04/jim-hartz-dead-today-show-host-barbara-walters-in-mid-1970s-was-82-obituary-1235008872/
  19. I miss WeatherScope (FKA WeatherCenter AM, PM).
  20. FOX Weather is now on KDFI 27.6.
  21. Connor Ingalls went from GMC anchor to main anchor, congrats to him.
  22. I wish it was Shepard. He would've been great as anchor and mananging editor for the CBSEN. The wild card IMO is still BW.
  23. I can always watch In The Heat of the Night on MeTV and Bounce. BTW, Where's Joe Donlon going to go now that he leaving?
  24. Former longtime WGN News reporter Merri Dee passes away. https://wgntv.com/news/chicago-news/former-wgn-tv-anchor-reporter-merri-dee-dies-at-86/
  25. Another veteran B-Ham anchor leaving. Longtime Birmingham broadcaster and current CBS 42 (WIAT) main anchor Art Franklin is leaving the station to pursue business interests. His last day at the station is Friday, April 29th. Birmingham CBS station will now soon be looking for a new main anchor. IMO, I believe that weekend evening anchor Michael Clark will be Art's successor. http://www.birminghamtimes.com/2022/03/news-anchor-art-franklin-to-depart-cbs-42-will-pursue-business-interests/?fbclid=IwAR1M4rpFi1ARWNEZbbKzk69N5uY93nZRFPTQTAgiaT-rUIGuq1X6A5o5zL4
