Welcome to the new, improved TVNewsTalk!
A3N replied to Weeters's topic in Site News and Announcements
Is there a way to remove the boxes on the right hand side of the main page (i.e: Forum Statistics, Who's online, posts?) ? Also, is there an option for a dark theme like in the previous iteration? -
KNSD announced that Sheena Parveen will join the station as weekday AM/Midday meteorologist starting in October.
-
They probably based it on testimonials from "average viewers" like Bob, Sally and Susie, whom told them that they watched 10News over News8 and NBC7.
Rather than bumping an old thread regarding Telemundo 20 I’m San Diego or I thought I would ask my question here and maybe @Eat News or @A3N could answer. Does KNSD/ NBC 7 provide traffic and weather updates during the local avails during Un Nuevo Día? I know their station breaks are different from the Today Show ones. I ask because Telemundo 20 plugged NBC 7’s morning newscast. My Spanish is rusty and couldn’t keep up with what they are saying. There was a video on Vimeo that was a promo for NBC 7 in Spanish but I can’t find it now. On the same topic WCAU do the same for WWSI (maybe @HulkieD could answer)? How much would it cost to say translate an hour of news from NBC 7 to air right before Un Nuevo Dia? Also why would KNSD have this video from KFMB on their Vimeo website: Thanks in advance if you guys are able to find anything out?
I don’t watch T20 in the mornings, but I’m assuming they either don’t give traffic and WX updates, and if they do it’s probably just a few graphics. In regards to that KFMB video, my guess is that was supposed to be an internal video. An aircheck of the rival station for marketing purposes, perhaps? Either, someone messed up.

Among other things... But first, call in right now to win $1000 in cash, only on 10News! [insert BREAKING WEATHER ALERT here]
-
That's something to take into account. Good points. I made a new thread on the sale.
-
True. Although, they could choose to off-load separately if that keeps a buyer from purchasing the TV station. Not anymore. They dissolved that agreement less than a year after they started it. So now management of the radio stations is back to Midwest.
-
Color me shocked. Many of their moves over the last few years have been in set up for a possible sale. Honestly, this is a prime property for Cox or CBS to snatch up...
-
I don't know eat, better to be a WIMP than a KUNT... Well, maybe in this business, it might not be such a bad thing...
-
Unless it was accompanied by the word burrito...

I'm a big fan of that rotating 10 above the cement pillar. If there was one thing to steal from there, it'd be that. LOL.
-
I recall that KGTV was testing out a drone about 3-4 years back when they canned their own helicopter. Nothing ever materialized from that test. So they were left S.O.L.; No chopper and no drone... But they did get a new nifty SKY 10 animation a few years back, for a chopper that no longer exists.
-
Ah yes. Haven't been able to catch him on air, but let's see how green his reporting chops are.
-
Are you referring to Matt Boone, or another new guy they just hired? The name escapes me...
-
He had no choice but to leave KFMB, since his husband got a job in LA. He's a good reporter, he might find something full time down the road.
-
At this point, I doubt he even cares if it's at 2, as long as he can say he's working in LA. But KCBS seems to be operating full speed on the freelance route, so he's going to need a lot of luck and time to get a contract. IIR, Kristine LaZar became full time a while back, after almost 10 years of freelancing at 2.
-
Most likely KCBS/KCAL, since there's a picture of him sitting behind the KCBS newsroom desk back in late August.
-
At this point, they're better off having a set of rotating anchors ala 60 Minutes. You can't trust these bone-heads to make a good choice in selecting a replacement for Pelley.
-
So KGTV revised the programming listings and The Now will continue at 4pm. Right This Minute will move into the overnight hours between 1:40-2:30 am. Dateline will air at 3pm.
-
They'll be airing the syndicated version of Dateline, since they've been showing promos for it for the last few weeks. It will be on at 3pm. So it seems like what tvtime07 posted is correct.
-
Disney/ABC-KTRK will donate $1 million dollars as well.

TEGNA Broadcasting and Digital General Discussion
A3N replied to ABC 7 Denver's topic in Corporate Chat
Don't give them any ideas. The jet ranger is a piece of shit anyways, so anything less than one of them fancy A-Star's is a major downgrade. Plus KFMB only has editorial control of the chopper. The contract/money portion is handled by Total Traffic network with Welk aviation.- 3682 replies

I'm aware about RT-- Most people aren't even aware that it's Putin's/Russia propaganda outlet. Which is why I came up with Putin Media Service, to make it abundantly clear who the Sinclairians hope to model their new network off of.
-
Personally, i'd go for the Putin Media Service/America or PMS America
