Personally, i'd go for the Putin Media Service/America or PMS America

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this will come to fruition. Penny-pinching or not, landing O'Reilly and/or Hannity would be a major coup for Sinclair. They'll begrudgingly fork over the cash for them if it means they'll bring in the viewers/money with them. Watch for FOX and Sinclair to start locking horns in the coming years.

The Now is not a bad concept per say, but it's a show that has to be perfectly set up to run smoothly, otherwise it turns into a small-market budget show. Case in point, if the show involves having the anchor and reporters move around from location to location, they should make sure their set/studio doesn't look like crap. I don't even think KGTV notices that the floor in their studio looks horrendous. When you can see the floor/floor tiles start to bubble up then it's time for it to be redone.

Well so much for that hard news hour... Being sandwiched into the Today brand with a studio audience is a great recipe to make her fail.

The reason it's blocked is because LIVE TV is only available to in-market cable subscribers. Basically it's the desktop version of the NBC Everywhere platform. There should still be a separate link for live-streaming of their newscasts. It might be hard to find, depending on how the NBC O&O handles their webpage. Often times you'll see a banner on the main page that says Watch Live: NBC XX News at XX O'clock.

That's beyond their pay grade. All they want to do is show up on the scene, turn on that mic, apply the make up, ask a few questions, look pretty and leave. Figuring out the logistics of a Dejero is beyond their comprehension. Sadly, it shows.

And just for the sake of "objective journalism", they showed the 3 protestors outside. A couple of them were white... They're so completely oblivious as to what's happening in the real world.

So how long before the Shlongs and Linds wind up as the 11pm team? I give it before the Nov. Book. Then they'll push Kim and Steve down to the earlier shows before they get shown the door. I wonder what excuse they'll use then? When Robert was canned, they used the old BS line that he "wanted to take up other interests he was passionate about", "do some other things that he's always wanted to do", etc. The way he worded it on air was so forced, you could tell even he clearly did not want to go along with it. It was cringe-worthy, I shit you not. This lady clearly has a preference in hiring young/inexperienced news peeps. I guess it must make her feel comfortable being around the young crowd--maybe she relishes the mother hen role and it also helps that Scripps is basically OKing these hires since it's saving them money. One thing is for certain, if the station was doing so well, then there'd be no need to give out these $1000 gift cards during sweeps....

Don't be surprised if they start pushing Kim and Steve out completely . They pushed Itica out, and they bumped Kim off the 5 pm in favor of Lindsay Peña. Seems like the kitty cat loving ND is very fond of these young pretty faces. And I still can't see what the hell she sees in Ariel "garfield the cat" Wessler and Anne "lisp" State. They literally put me to sleep the few times I've tuned in.

Man, what could have been had Randy Salerno not passed away when he did. They were on the up and up with the team of Randy and Roseanne. Sadly, I think it's one of those things that this station will never be able to overcome, no matter how hard they try. I'm not sure what the solution should be at this point, but it's clear that what they've tried over the years has not, and will not work.

Mary Mac looks like she could be Vanessa's older sister. Seriously, if you're not looking closely, you can mistake one for the other. I had to do a double take at the gym this morning...that or I need glasses. Jim is sooo much better than Robert Santos. No joke. Robert just puts people to sleep. Melissa is a work in progress with the weather gig. With all the talent changes at 10, they should really consider doing talent opens/rejoins. You really don't know who's going to even be anchoring any particular newscast since they make so many changes. Edit: Mary Mac looks so milfy. Bonus points for the 25-54 Male demo.

I like Neda. She really improved from when she first started at 6, to when it shut down. Rielle was very underrated and under-utilized at 10. Such a shame. She should have put on The Now instead of Anne "Lisp" State and Garfield the Cat Wessler. Matt Mendes left a few months ago. Moved to the lovely Fresno to be an anchor. Grecia is still there, as is the Rach. Robert was as bland and boring as they came. He's a good reporter, but has the personality of kidney stone. Melissa will take Kristen's spot on weather. Not sure what the deal is with Vanessa, in regards to if she's being replaced or not. Also, Jim could anchor weekend AM's or PM's. Who knows, except for the nutty cat lady in charge- whom seems to not know WTF she's doing. Sunday's AM news repeats on 10News Channel were from Saturday morning's/evening shows. I know they aired an abbreviated Sunday AM newscast, but when it came time to playback, they used the newscasts from the day before. Not sure what was up with that.

So a few news and notes from KGTV: *Weekend AM Weather anchor Kristen Keogh left a few weeks ago to return to Phoenix. *Weekend AM anchor Robert Santos left the station today after 8 years. It seems like his contract was not renewed since he used that old b.s. excuse of having some time to do things that " I want to do." and said that he was staying in the area. *Melissa Mecija appears to be Kristen's replacement on weather/Weekend AM's *Neda Iranpour, formerly of XETV/10pm anchor has been hired as the Live Center anchor for the AM Newscast. That spot was occupied by Renee Nelson, whom has been on medical leave since Aug/Sept. of 2016. Not sure if she plans to return or what, but no indication from the station as to what her employment status is. *Weekend evening anchor Rielle Creighton has also left the station and is moving to Florida with her husband and child. Her hubby is in the Coast Guard and was recently transferred to FLA.

Wasn't Mannarino, Suki's choice for a co-anchor a few years ago?

11 AM, I meant. My bad. Sometimes they'll give the morning met the midday show off since they're at work before the anchors. It's either that or they're looking for someone to handle weekends.

Maybe for the noon show?

I've never heard that cut before. Wonder if it's part of a new set of music cuts? Either way, the updated opens look pretty sharp, the animation is a bit smoother/crisper. I wonder what the plan is for those promo graphics. Is it part of a new future graphics package or just an update to the existing one? I'm curious to find out if that flat LIVE bug we saw a few weeks back belongs in the same set as these promo graphics...

Ooh those are pretty. They look like an update to the update they rolled out about a year ago. Is it only for promos/teasers or did they get a new open as well?

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that she's had a billion co-anchors in the last 5+ years, ratings haven't gone up and she was getting wayyyyy to comfortable in that chair as if she were untouchable. She can be sad all she wants, everyone saw this coming from a mile away. Edit: oh and money. It all comes down to money. She probably was making too much of it, and nothing (ratings) to show for.

This. Add in the taxes as well. In Albittron's case, I believe they wanted to sell the whole group together due to taxes. Which quickly led Disney to bow out since they were only really interested in WJLA. So as we all know, they ended up going to SInclair.

It's not on you to get the info right. They decided to do a write up touting the change, the least they could have done is taken less than 30 seconds to google other non-group/family owned CBS affiliates and the info would have popped up.
