  1. KOFY barely switched from GRIT to Merit a year and 3 months ago. I’m guessing GRIT is leaving the sub channel and back to ch 20.
  2. Same with KUSI…. https://www.san.org/Shop-Dine-Relax/Detail?Id=54
  3. I mean KWGN was ahead of its time back in 2009. They had the orange look on its graphics and CW logo during their Deuce era
  4. The anchor desk is so close up to the wall. Who will be the first to back into it?
  5. KSWB final broadcast at 7191 Engineer Rd is today. This afternoon is the reveal of the new set as they move 10 min east across Kearny Mesa to Viewridge Ave and merge with KUSI.
  6. Wow they finally killed off One and Only that was the sound of KUSI! At least they didn’t go Aerial….
  7. Paul Deanno just announced KCAL finally gutted the old CBSLA studio and it’s now the 6th station in the O&O group to get the AR/VR set and will debut tomorrow.
  8. I doubt it, look at the wall on the set. It wouldn’t make sense to reprint the graphics again and change out the wall. It kinda looks the the X in FOX. Kind of similar when KTXL had a X on the wall on their previous set.
  9. say no more….I see where you’re going there with KMSP, it’s more white, grey and chrome. From its Brick lofty studio look, the new KSWB set is slowly making its debut. Right now the Promo for their July 4th Big Bay just dropped from the new studio. Seen in the photo attached you can see a circular anchor desk. Instead of a real surfboard that they currently have in their studio, they have 3 stenciled out surfboards covering a tv monitor.
  10. Most likely be a VR set, quicker setup
  11. If you are on instagram, you can search KUSI-TV under places and look under the Recent tab. There’s so many pictures and videos of the studio and newsroom. The set up pretty much looks like how NBC Bay Area and Telemundo is with studios next to each other with a massive newsroom. It’s kind of hard to see the KSWB side of the KUSI newsroom since the studio is dark so you can’t tell if their studio is even done or not. Do we even know when their move in date is since they’re still at the other building?! It would be nice if they kept their 360 desk. It’s so unique how BDI designed it. At least yay it’s an upgrade for KUSI but like you said, they never mentioned its debut or gave us a tour of the new set at least. I feel like the set is still underwhelming with them having a newscast with segments that could’ve utilized more studio space besides a desk, an interview area and green screen. Not sure about the tight shots. It’s pretty much up to the director in the control room to call the shots. Remember, KUSI is more of an older audience, they don’t care about studio shots and jib cameras panning in the studio. Unlike FOX5, they are all about that stuff. its also still surprising while looking at the videos on instagram that the newsroom is still dark. I mean all the computers and TV Monitors are not functioning and it’s almost 6 months in after the remodel.

  13. We are going on 6 years with the graphics package. This is actually a nice refresh and update to the Lower Thirds. Looks like each station in the group have went different directions either by changing the colors away from the Red, White and Blue or some have switched to the LIVENOW on FOX lower thirds
  14. The set screams BDI with the 2014 era KCNC/KFMB anchor desk
  15. KTVU Meteorologist Bill Martin to retire after 33 years. https://www.ktvu.com/news/ktvu-meteorologist-bill-martin-retire-after-33-years
