KOFY just ended their 9pm LIVE produced newscast from KGO with a short farewell. They announced that they will continue to air their rebroadcasts of ABC 7 News at 7pm and 11:30pm Looks like KRON will now dominate the 9pm slot.

Looks like it’s only affecting the CBS and CW O&O’s

KPIX is running a ticker on the Noon newscast right now saying DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse May drop KPIX. Right now KRON is still blacked out on DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse customers. This is will be a double whammy. 855-5 KEEP CBS KEEPCBS.com

Happened to see that KOFY is promoting a local Dance Party Show that’s been a staple program filmed at the studios normally seen on weekends. However, starting July 22 at 10pm, it will be seen Nightly which is normally a rerun of the 9pm news produced by KGO. Im looking at KOFY’s tv schedule on Titan and it shows that Last Man Standing is airing at 9pm on July 22 which is normally ABC 7 News at 9pm on KOFY TV 20. Is KOFY is cancelling the 9pm Newscast all together since they stopped doing weekend newscasts not too long ago? Also it looks like they are bringing back a full hour of the 7pm news on KOFY to compete with KTVU Plus and KPIX (only :30 min). Unless, its ABC 7 News at 6 rerun?

Because it was during their 11am newscast when they broke the story followed by an ABC NEWS Special Report.

Interesting how KGO is simulcasting WPIX and then switched to WCBS of the Breaking News of the Helicopter Crash into the building.

Wow a 4pm newscast? They might as well bring back the Noon or 7pm news unless they don’t want to mess with KGTV since they are the only 7pm newscast.

The only part they goofed up is the AMS seal during the weather report. It still ends at the old part before the extension lol. true on the left. However KPIX does use a lot of GFX on the left like “New at 11:00, STORM WATCH, and other Story Clip Art shared with the O&O’s when needed if it’s not the half CBS Eye.

KPIX and KBCW finally moved their bug out of the safe zone. You would think their LIVE Bug would have been moved too. Nope. Looks a bit odd now with a stretched out Lower a third. makes me wonder tomorrow how or where they will put the placement of the Stock Board on the noon newscasts or Doppler Radar during stormy weather since it was outside the safezone

Yes. Fairfield is one of the lucky cities located between SF and Sacramento Markets and it’s pretty unique on their cable lineup since they get both ABC and CBS channels except NBC Bay Area, KRON and KTVU. However they have KTVU Plus to catch some KTVU newscasts if they don’t want to watch KTXL But what’s also different in Fairfield is that they must probably have a sharing agreement and don’t blackout programming from either or of the 2 markets it shares. In San Diego, KTLA used to be on ch 14 on its cable line up and was mostly blacked out with paid programming 90% of the time. KSWB had the rights to air WB Programming during that era before KTLA was dropped around 2007

Starting next week, KPIX is launching a 7pm newscast right after CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor at 6:30. Looks like they ate trying to compete with KTVU since they have a 7pm newscast on KTVU Plus

Veronica De La Cruz posted on her Instagram story that KPIX is going full hour at 5pm and the 6pm will be cut to half an hour to accommodate CBS Evening News at 6:30 now.

KUSI was fun to watch during the late 90’s. It was also ahead of its time with a 7pm newscast, 10am and noon. All now scrapped. It was a wacky yet hard hitting newscast.
