No, KSTU has fully implemented the new graphics for all of their newscasts. Not just the graphics for the streaming content during non-newscast times. I was saying yesterday, they were playing the OSI theme music on the bumpers during their Midday broadcast (11am).

I'm watching KSTU's live stream. They're the new station with the graphics. But on some of the bumpers, I hear the OSI theme music playing with the new graphics. I hope they get that fixed.

I checked out KGNS's live stream over the weekend and they're using the WMC package (seems to be the default graphic pack for most of their footprint). But it sounds like they've dropped Inergy for two music themes. On the opens its U-Phonix, but on the bumpers/teases and closes its Third Coast. As for WIFR, it appears they have a variant of the WBAY/WBTV graphic package with a change of fonts.

There is a big change in the Bay Area. It appears that KGO has gotten rid of its 4:30am local news. ABC 7 Mornings will now start at 5am each weekday morning, and that started today (9/14). According to their guide, it's 4:30 timeslot is now being occupied by a reairing of America This Morning.

Wow! The FCC has greenlighted the KWWT/KMDF-LD transaction. What I'm shocked about is where is the document that states that the "failed station waiver" is GRANTED? It's a document similar to this when they approved the WYCI's FSW. EDIT 9/15: Okay. Here it is.

New M&A. Weigel is at it again. They're acquiring Lebanon, TN's WJFB, from HC2 Broadcasting for $5.5M. WJFB became a MeTV affiliate, after Nashville's WKRN dropped the network last fall.

Gray's Hawaii News Now is joining the news expansion train. KHNL has added an hourly 4pm broadcast entitled "First at 4". That would be two straight hours of local news on Channel 13, followed by Nightly at 6pm. And this comes after Gray has completed its acquisition of KSIX-TV in the Big Island on Wednesday (9/9). It'll be interesting to see what they'll do with Telemundo.

Basically in any transaction, once they get the greenlight, they'll have 90 days to complete the sale. But they can file an "extension of consummation" to go another 90 days. But I don't expect that to happen as I think the sale would be closed way before that, given that it's Nexstar. But don't expect any on air cosmetic changes to happen on the day of closing (other than the Nexstar ID at the end).

Adam Kuperstein will get David Ushery's former spots at 11am & 5pm.

So the Marshall deal to Mission was completed last Tuesday (9/1). KLJB, KMSS & KPEJ are now Mission stations. And what @LexTVandRadio mentioned on Tuesday, the WDKY deal was approved last Friday (9/4).

It's like they've preserved the fonts from the Limerick package and merge it with the WMC pack. It's better than the overly-used Helvetica. Talk about uniqueness.

Paperwork for WPIX is finally up. That includes an LMA & an option agreement.

The only Cordillera stations that gotten the new gfx is the Montana MTN cluster. That's the bug when they air content on the live stream during non-newscast times.

TVNewsCheck states that David Ushery will anchor the 4 & 11pm broadcasts starting in October.

So the Mission consolidation spree continues tonight..... with Super Towers' WNAC. At this point, seeing Vaughan & White Knight getting merged to Mission is inevitable. But what about KSHV? Since Mission is getting KMSS from Marshall, Mission can't acquire KSHV from White Knight. Unless Mission go for a failed waiver, but I don't think its a failed station.

The music and the full graphics haven't debuted yet.

So follow-up. The former owner of Estrella TV is about to take WLII WLII Caguas, and its satellite outlets WOLE Aguadilla, WSUR Ponce & W21CX-D Mayaguez is being sold to Liberman Media Group for $1M. Liberman Media Group is ran by Lenard Liberman. He was the founder and former owner of a company that its now known as Estrella Media, after it emerged from bankruptcy late last year.

This is the CBSN Local package. This is the same package used since they first launched.

It's been greenlighted. Gray will soon add Telemundo to the suite of networks in the nation's 50th state. _________________________________________ Okay so unrelated to this. I know Northpine first reported this earlier this month. Gray have filed a petition for rulemaking (PRM) to make the following changes to Superior, Nebraska NBC affiliate KSNB: To change the city of license from Superior to York. To change the RF channel from VHF 4 to UHF 24. To move its transmitting site from near York to Beaver Crossing (the same spot as sister station KOLN). They've also have requested for a waiver of the current freeze of filing channel substitution petitions. The FCC put a freeze because they were in the process of starting the spectrum auction. The auction & repacking is over, but the freeze is still in effect. The reason behind this change is the Gray cites that KSNB's current VHF facility is "failing and not expected to last another 6 months". Meanwhile, KOLN is in a process of installing a new tower, because their original tower collapsed back in January due of an ice storm. I guess they figured what's more of an opportune time to install KOLN's new tower and install KSNB's at the same time? I know PRMs tend to be a pretty lengthy process. But it wasn't all that lengthy when several TV stations filed PRMs to get off that problematic VHF signals and move back to UHF after the digital transition ended in 2009. But as KOLN is rebuilding, this shouldn't really be a lenghty process for KSNB. The process is they file a petition (which Gray has already done), then the FCC will issue a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to go through the comment phase. And if they're aren't any major objections, then the FCC will issue an Report and Order (R&O) approving the channel subsitiution change. And at that time, Gray would file an application with the new UHF 24 facility. And once they get the greenlight, they can construct the new facility. So it's PRM > NPRM > R&O > App > Greenlight > Construct > Complete. Once they get all the proper approvals, this would be great news for folks in Lincoln who really want to have a robust NBC signal, without relying on cable or an outdoor antenna. And KOLN wouldn't have use their bandwidth to pipe in KSNB's main signal on a subchannel as they now do. Now I hope Gray can resurrect Memphis' WMC's petition to get off that VHF-low 5 signal.
