From this RBR article last Friday: So that means after closing of the deal, callsigns, virtual channels and intellectual properties will be swapped. Both are basically switching sticks. Currently: Telemundo - KNSO - Virtual Ch. 51 - RF 11 - Fac. ID 58608 Cocola - KGMC - Virtual Ch. 43 - RF 27 - Fac. ID 23302 Post-closing: Cocola - KGMC - VC 43 - RF 11 - Fac. ID 58608 Telemundo - KNSO - VC 51 - RF 27 - Fac. ID 23302 OTA viewers would have to rescan their TVs to get Telemundo 51 on a superior UHF signal. And Estrella 43 will be on the VHF allotment.

This is DeMarco's third night filling-in. Only this time, he'll be seen nationally.

They're back at 57 this morning.....

That secondary link live streamed the broadcast.

We have a very interesting M&A. In Fresno, NBC's Telemundo O&O KNSO and Cocola Broadcasting's flagship station KGMC are exchanging facilities. Once the deal is finalized, NBC will take ownership of KGMC's facility on UHF RF 27, while Cocola will own KNSO's facility on VHF RF 11. Callsigns will also be swapped after closing. Along with the exchange, NBC will pay Cocola $4.5M. And while this deal is pending, Telemundo will temporarily carry programming (simulcast?) on an SD suchannel on KGMC current stick RF 27. Might as well ask the FCC to exchange virtual channels to alleviate confusion while they're at it.

That's going to be a hard sell because It's been a while since the FCC approved a brand new full-power TV station. And I don't think its going to happen in the near term, as stations are still in the process of repacking after the spectrum auction. And anyway, Gray didn't really need another full power TV station. They already have full power KVLY, and those three LPs (KXJB, etc.). If that deal would've went through, they probably would've moved one of those other networks (CBS or CW) over to the new FP. ______________________________ New M&A. John Wagner is selling the Ion station in the Mississippi Delta, WFXW (the former CBS station WXVT) as a donation to Christian broadcaster, TCT.

The FCC should've acted on this way sooner. As soon as the KRDK's owners filed that petiton to deny, the FCC should've made this ruling right then and there and not let the deal drag on for 25 months.......

TEGNA Broadcasting and Digital General Discussion
CircleSeven replied to ABC 7 Denver's topic in Corporate Chat
This is not the first time a Tegna station didn't use a standardized theme music. Remember, KARE 11 didn't use the Rampage Music theme, when Gannett started standardized its gfx in 2008. The station would end up using the mandated Gari music when the next graphic pack debuted a few years later.- 3697 replies

It's been greenlighted.

@PelicanGuy, Color me surprised. But I believe this is the first time I've seen WDSU personnel dressing up. Normally, they would wear station gear during the coverage.

Looks like they'd launched yesterday. Here's the promo.

Looks like Gray is LP-picking again. They struck a deal with religious broadcaster TCT to acquire Lansing, MI's WLNM-LD for $175K. But here's the twist. The parties formed a subchannel agreement in which the LP will carry TCT programming on a sub for five years after closing. It'll be interesting to see what Gray is going to do with this stick. Currently, WILX runs five subchannels. But Gray has also ran the same amount of subs in some of their other markets (Toledo is one of them).

Maybe you spoke a bit too soon. SAZ recently switched to The Rock. -
Looks like Ansin won't be getting the Fox affiliation in Boston. Apollo's Cox Media Group have renew its affiliation agreement for WFXT, WHBQ, KOKI & WFOX.

Back to the Raycom rollout. KPLC has the WMC package. Vid courtesy of "Santa Fee" from YT. -
I know the official launch is the 17th. But I believe they've "soft-launched" this earlier this week. I say this because I don't see any old Live Well shows on the guides. And the PSIP display name has changed from "LivWell" to "LOCLish". Also, from this article, it states that some other affiliates are expressing some interest.

New station. WJRT. They're using the WVLT gfx pack. EDIT: Also switched the music to High Velocity V3. But I hear (on their stream) Gari's EWN on the bumpers. -
A rarity. Sade filled-in for Shirleen this AM.

I'm watching KCNC's live stream now, and WCBS's 6:30 repeat on CBSN NY. And I don't see any L3 changes........

You're talking about in this video? That the instrumental of ABC's Still The One campaign, made by JAM Creative Productions. Vid courtesy of JAM Creative's YT page.

I guess they found Katie Fehlinger's replacement.......

Moved your question over to this thread. I'm aware that they're in a process of building their new facility. But no telling when they'll be done with that. I doubt you'll see any further on-air changes before the move. However, they just change their music some weeks back (after WJBF changed theirs w/new gfx). So you may never know. Strange things have happen.
