  1. New M&A. I should call this a small M&A because it doesn't involve a major TV station. But the price tag is "somewhat" big. RNN National (owners of WRNN-TV) is acquiring eight NRJ TV stations for $81.2M. The stations they're acquire are as follows: KSCI Long Beach - (NRJ will continue to own sister station KNLA-CD) KCNS San Francisco - (NRJ will continue to own sister station KTNC-TV) KIKU Honolulu WMFP Foxborough - (will duopoly with WWDP) WTVE Willow Grove, PA - (will duopoly with WMCN) WPHY-CD Trenton KUBE Baytown, TX KFWD Dallas I don't know what RNN is going to do with these stations other than keeping the "Revenue Frontiers" alive. Their parent station (WRNN) run infomercials most of the day. And if NRJ Is cashing out, they might as well give up KTNC & KNLA to RNN as well.
  2. New York sister station did this same practice, I believe last year. They got rid of its branded "10/55 News at 9" for a CBSN NY-produced news at that timeslot.
  3. Yeah this VO sounds like her, but that's not her. VH's voice is very distinctive.
  4. They've now closed down the Nexstar site and the yourphx url redirected to the new CW 61 site. The old site was still up yesterday.
  5. KICU's hourly 7pm show says hi. ......Oh and KPIX too (aibeit half hour).
  6. I would suspect many would think moving the Ellen to 3pm would be a better option. But I guess they probably want to clear Daily Blast Live since it probably don't have an earlier feed.
  7. Looks like WFMY is the latest CBS station to finally placing CBS This Morning in-pattern like the other stations. Looking at the guide, next Monday (12/2), as they're going to debut a new local 4pm show entitled Four2Five, WFMY will be dropping its 7am portion of the Good Morning Show to air CBS This Morning in-pattern from 7-9am. Ellen moves from 4pm to 9am.
  8. Looking at the guide, the half-hour 7pm is being kept. With Daily Blast Live airing at 7:30pm.
  9. Newly-acquired WVIR replaced its WorldNow style site for a Raycom template site (the same one KEYC/WWNY switched to earler this year).
  10. And the FCC has greenlighted the Marquee deal today.
  11. No one's upsetting anyone. They were allowed to use these graphics, the same way they allowed WOIO to use their new gfx. I'm sure if the higher-ups would've have a gripe, we probably wouldn't see these gfx on the air.
  12. I don't think its in-house. This WAVE's new gfx pack (the L3s specifically) looks like the one some of the Meredith stations use (i.e. WFSB).
  13. New Station. WIS has the WMC package.
  14. Follow-up. December 1st will be the launch date for NBC/CW programming of KMNF. So follow-up regarding WWPI. They have filed an app to move closer to Presque Isle proper. From this contour map, it won't be transmitting from WAGM's tower facility, but It looks like it'll be will be transmitting from the WAGM's studio facility.
  15. It's been delayed until January 6th.
  16. It appears Fresno's KMPH & Omaha KPTM have the new graphics. That means for Omaha, that mean no more Fox O&O gfx & Convergence theme music. Also, nearly a couple of weeks back, Medford, OR's KTVL also switch to the new graphics. This also came as the station's move to a brand new studio inside the Mail Tribune building in downtown Medford. Video Courtesy of Daniel Garcia Media from YT. I do find it strange that their sister station to the north (KVAL) is still using the old KOMO/Fisher style graphics but the Weather gfx are the new Sinclair graphic.
  17. WWL meteorologist Chris Franklin has been promoted to Chief Meteorologist for the station. He replaces Carl Arredondo, who left the station back in February, after nearly 28 years at Channel 4.
  18. Ratner was used during the 2000s decade on WCBS & later WNBC. And I'm sure Tracey was also used on WPIX at one point or another. Should Chapin be used on Channel 7 permanently, this will be the third station he's been used in town, after WNBC during the 90s thru the early 2000s (the original 4NY & NewsChannel eras), and WNYW during the mid 2000s.
  19. That's strange. Because I've watched WBTV (before their switch), and KCBD currently, where they used the Raycom gfx, and used the Gray ticker on the bottom. I'm sure there'll change it in due time.
  20. So follow-up regarding KMNF. They did some testing on their new signal this week. They didn't announce a launch date but it did say it should be in full operation once testing is completed.
  21. And here's the 11pm Open tonight. Vid courtesy of Daniel Garcia Media from YT.
  22. WALB just posted this 11am digital update with the new graphics. It appears to be the WVLT gfx package. It also switched the music to Guardian.
  23. WTVG has had those graphcs since the summer, at the very least. Vid courtesy of Daniel Garcia Media from YT.
  24. Speaking of WYCI.... Gray will be acquiring the station for $1.1M. And it'll use the pre-2017 "failed station waiver" rule to acquire it.
  25. Anywho, here's the open from last night. Vid courtesy of dma37dude from YT.
