That's a return to the nation's capital for Jummy, after leaving WJLA for Channel 4 a couple of years back. At least she's staying with the peacock. Wonder who would take her weekend spot.

WPVI's Meteorologist/Traffic Anchor Karen Rogers is filling in for Jeff Smith tonight.

Follow-Up. From this latest paperwork, it looks like the station will be in the hands of the creditors. I'm hoping an owner like Marquee Broadcasting would come up and buy this station.

Seventeen months after the deal was announced, Weigel has finally completed its acquisition of San Francisco stations KTLN/KAXT. The deal was held up because it was challenged by a petitioner. And then after the FCC approved Weigel's sale in September, the petitioner filed an Application for Review a month later. The end of this deal finally closes the books on spectrum speculator OTA Broadcasting, the firm that bought several bottom-dwelling stations earlier this decade, hoping to cash-in on the incentive auction. EDIT: Weigel didn't waste time adding MeTV & H&I Bay Area to their website. Also since KTLN is channel-sharing with LP signal KAXT, MeTV is also carried on CBS-owned CW-outlet KBCW 44.3.

The Charlottesville deals were greenlighted on Monday. With both the Gray's Charlottesville switch and the United TV deal being greenlighted, I wouldn't be surprised if both get consummated concurrently. Also, earlier this month. Gray's founding television station, WALB celebrated a milestone. 65 years on the air.

I was looking at the Syncbak page, where they archive video from the last few newscasts. They're using CBS Local for the rebrand.. Prior to the consolidation, KCWY used The Tower, while KGWN used Pinnacle.

Someone screengrabbed their TV. And the bug is their old logo with the new Tegna graphic. Let's hope it stays that way.- 3735 replies

A New M&A. Sun Broadcasting (owners of CW affiliate WXCW) is buying Univision LPs WUVF/WLZE & Azteca LP WANA from Media Vista Group for $9.75M. Sun is currently operating the LPs under a LMA while it awaits approval from the FCC. Tegna recently added Bounce TV on KONG 16.2, clearing the diginet in Seattle for the first time.

Sinclair Broadcast Group - General Discussion
CircleSeven replied to Smitha A's topic in Corporate Chat
Here's the full write up from the ALJ. A grilling could also come if they do attempt to buy or sell a TV station. Some don't want to wait next year to have the license renewal preceeding to discuss their serious character issues. That includes new FCC commissioner Geoffrey Starks, -
And we have another expansion from Fox. WAGA is expanding Good Day Atlanta on the 10am hour, beginning April 15.

NBC has completed its acquisition of the Serestar Telemundo stations. Consummated yesterday. Bye-Bye Serestar.

Part of the Schurz deal in 2015. Although they did not swap their incumbent WNDU for Schurz flagship WSBT. But neither one were underdog stations like KAKE.

You forgot a couple: Meteorologist Chris Franklin as "Where's Waldo" & AM Anchor Leslie Spoon as "Carmen Sandiego". And Reporter Meghan Kee as "Little Red Riding Hood". The Times-Picayune have the rest, including the ones from WVUE.

There's some non-Gray stations that stream on Syncbak. Including some Brady & Morgan Murphy outlets. I'm surprised that I haven't see any just-acquired Raycom stations on that app.

The Fort Myers properties weren't mentioned on the press release.

This is kind of strange. Gray is changing stations in Charlottesville. They're divesting it's longtime CBS affiliate WCAV & ABC affil WVAW to Lockwood Broadcasting. In turn, Gray will acquire the NBC station WVIR from Waterman Broadcasting.

ABC 7 Eyewitness News thread
CircleSeven replied to bogusabc7breakingnews's topic in Los Angeles News
I'll keep this thread alive. Remember back in November, WABC commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Eyewitness News brand. Well last night, the LA counterpart did their own EWN @ 50 commemoration. Videos courtesy of KABC's YT Page.
