Follow-up. The MeTV affiliate change from WSB 2.2 to WGTA 32.1 happens Monday morning (3/27) at 9am. That means OTA viewers in the immediate metro Atlanta area won't be getting MeTV. But WGTA's signal will be carried on U-Verse, DirecTV & Dish Network in the Atlanta area. WSB hasn't publicly announce a replacement to MeTV, but looking at the guide past 9am tomorrow, it looks like its programming from the Escape diginet. Also, KSAT 12's new 9am newscast starts tomorrow. And the major shift in programming that follows.....

The Washingtonian did a piece last week, on the exodus of veteran personalities at WJLA. And if it really matters to the viewer. -
Kudos to Channel 9 for their overall morning win. Congrats! Well deserved. Keep doing what you're doing and don't stop. And hope that more "wins" in the AM will come your way.

GM appointment #15. Former KSLA General Sales Manager Fran McRae-Posey is the new VP/GM of KLFY. Unrelated to Nexstar, former Nexstar & MG station WCWJ has ditched the Nexstar CMS site and went to the Graham CMS site. The new YourJax page is a subpage of WJXT's News4Jax page. Actually, they're only on at 6:30am in the morning. SIX THIRTY. That's it. Are we back to 1988? -
New Nexstar appointment. Former KTTV ND Bill Mondora will be the Bureau Chief of Nexstar's DC Bureau.
-
Another Tegna Depature. WTSP's Investigative Reporter Mike Deeson has left the station.

From that Town Hall vid, I think Sook said that he liked the LIN DIgital ones better. But I'm not sure if the legacy Nexstar is going to use that MG template or it might be a completely new template for all of their stations. We'll just have to wait and see. _______________ Looks like the first order of business under the combined entity is to have all of its stations with one "unified" licensee name. Nexstar has filed a slew of 316 pro-forma applications to change all those various MG licensee names (Media General Communications Holdings, LIN Television Corporation, Young Broadcasting of Richmond, etc; 25 in all) to (No surprise) Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.
-
Here's Nexstar's 12th GM appointment since the MG deal ended. Former WFXS Wausau GM Robert Raff has been appointed as new VP & GM of Tokepa station KSNT (and its in-market sisters).

That's a damn shame. I guess no one should be surprised by this outcome, but this is pitiful nevertheless. Sad. #TooMuchNews
