  1. Follow-up regarding Hill. She won't be at NBC for long. TVNewser stated this morning that's she's returning to HLN. She'll also contribute on the CNN shows.
  2. Longtime Rochester anchor Don Alhart reaches a milestone tonight. 50 years on Channel 13.
  3. Ironcially, the last daytime game show that aired on ABC was Match Game '90, hosted Canadian comedian Ross Shaffer. And that show wasn't cleared in all markets since many of them started airing the news at 12pm.
  4. When I looked at that page a couple of weeks ago, it was still showing those two dated logos. Okay their two different sets of logos. The one that's posted on the yourbigsky twitter page is different from the logos that are displayed on its website front page (where it says POWERED BY). The question is which one they use on the air?
  5. From the Killeen Daily Herald (first posted in late January), Tegna's NBC affil KCEN in Waco has purchased a former church site in Downtown Temple. And they'll convert it into a new state-of-the-art studio. They're hoping to move into their new studio by the end of this year.
  6. Actually TV Azteca no longer have a 20% minority stock interest in KAZA. That's according to this 316 pro forma app back in December. It was approved and closed on January 19.
  7. The sale of the final station in the Pappas Liquidated Trust was completed today (5/25). Opelika, AL's WLGA was sold to CNZ Communications, the same owners who also owns former Pappas station WIWN in Wisconsin.
  8. This GNP cue have been mixed with Hello & Turn To before. This is the first time I heard this same exact cue mixed with Pride Inside. Indeed a rarity.
  9. New M&A. This time Nexstar is selling. Nexstar is selling one its satellites of Grand Junction's CBS station KREX. Its Glenwood Springs satellite, KREG is being sold to Marquee Broadcasting for $350K.
  10. And that's the same font used like its sister stations in the state.
  11. Sometime ago in Cleveland, the game show aired at the same time his talk show was on. Now Feud airs a half-hour earlier at 2:30pm.
  12. Alan was on the WCL 11:30 cut-in with Larry Mowry this morning.
  13. B&C stated this afternoon that Today Show newsreader Natalie Morales will replace Billy Bush as the new host of Access Hollywood.
  14. Sinclair's NTV/KFXL deal from the Pappas trust is done. They'll probably announce the completion of this sale tomorrow morning (4/4) when they release their Q1 earnings. The only station that's left in the trust is WLGA in Opelika, AL. And that deal is awaiting consummation.
  15. Even though the 2011 gfx update (8/8) was indeed a Monday launch, the 2008 graphics (5/24) and the 2011 set debut (9/24) were Saturday launches.
  16. From Feder tonight, Ron is not happy about that "ad" being posted.
  17. Larry made his on-air return to the big-7, on the 4pm show today.
  18. And now Daily Variety states that Kelly won't be returning to the program, until at least this coming Tuesday.
  19. Well look at this. After leaving World News Now almost two weeks ago, Reena Ninan has apparently joined CBS News as a correspondant and will also anchor on its online streaming channel, CBSN.
  20. So the Tegna buyout casualties have now expanded to the First Coast.... FTV is saying this morning that WTLV/WJXX morning weather anchor Steve Smith and longtime reporter Roger Weeder are taking early retirement packages.
  21. New M&A regarding Sinclair tonight. They're acquiring KJZZ from Larry H. Miller Communications for $6.5M. It'll become a sister to KUTV.
  22. I don't think this 'voluntary' early retirement package is going to help in eliminating their debt. Even a possibility of a string of layoffs won't alleviate any of the mountainous amount of debt.
  23. More from Feder this morning. He states that Insiders are saying that Elgas is the "odds-on favorite" to succeed Alan at 4pm. He also stated that Judy could also "be in line" to replace Linda at 4pm, but as he pointed out "that’s still a long way off".
  24. Another Tegna departure...... WLBZ's weather anchor Steve McKay is leaving the station to devote more time to his ministry. His last weather report will be aired this Sunday.
  25. It looks like some more folks are taking that buyout. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution states that WXIA's weekend anchor Keith Whitley, educational reporter Donna Lowry and reporter Kevin Rowson are taking Tegna buyouts. It also stated that four photographers at the station are also taking buyouts. And longtime KHOU reporter Doug Miller is also taking a buyout, too.
