  1. ....And you forgot KBMT & KYTX on both.
  2. FINALLY!! I was wondering when they were going to start doing that for Channel 4 (they should've done it when their graphics were implemented). WVEC, WHAS & KREM have yet to make their new sites. And I'm shocked that KING 5's new webpage didn't go live this week.
  3. For the first 28 seasons, then moved an hour earlier two years ago; will return to its 3:30 slot this coming fall.
  4. For the first time since the WUSA & KPNX same day launches back on January 17, 2013, both KVUE & KENS 5 implemented its new Gannett Graphics during its midday newscasts.
  5. And now it appears to finally be some movement in the ComCorp deal. Okay, here's the WEVV app of the sale to Bayou City Broadcasting, posted last Tuesday (8/5). On that same day, the KFXK (sister to KETK) application from White Knight to Mission has been DISMISSED. And just yesterday (8/13), the WVLA (sister to WGMB) application from White Knight to Mission has also been DISMISSED. Wait, I almost forgot. Also on that same day (8/5) the KSHV application (sister to KMSS) assigned from White Knight to the newly female controlled, Rocky Creek Communications, was also DISMISSED. I guess we're not going to any rocky creeks anytime soon. I'm not too sure what that means in Baton Rouge & East Texas. If ComCorp is gone, White Knight is not going to stay put. One option could be to reassign the station to Marshall (they'll probably might wait until those other 3 get the greenlight). Or another option could be following the other groups like Sinclair & Gray and play that same moving channel switches and surrendering the license of the adjacent stations. So far they haven't done that in Grand Junction, CO, where they're still waiting for FCC approval on KFQX (assigned to Mission). Of course they're obviously doing this now because that outside date is coming up.
  6. No I don't know everything. I just took a wild guess. And besides we still have to treat it as tentative, in case they could be a delay (like WCNC).
  7. What? Say that again? What did I say on Friday....
  8. As most of the stations used the "Coming Soon" (and of course it doesn't explain when the exact date of launch), those stations would implement the graphics within a week. As Tyler said on his twitter, "KVUE is going to look a little different next week." When next week is anyone's guess.
  9. Ahh NO!! NO!! Don't say that. Ugh!! LOL. Bringing back the 10pm repeat at 1:07am would greatly bring back some normalcy to the schedule. Yes, the daytime lineup are due to preemptions and such, but I don't see them squeezing another hour of Rachael. And anyway, I don't even think a station have aired a second airing during the overnight hours. We'll see what happens though, but I wish they don't do this.
  10. I can't be shocked about this schedule, because KABC went with a similar schedule, placing Rachael Ray between The Chew & GH. So it appears that ABC wants GH to be on an ideal 2pm timeslot (similar to NBC's Days Of Our Lives on the ideal 1pm timeslot on most stations (WMAQ airs it at 11am)). I'm not sure if its going to be for all of the O&Os. And Rachael Ray is at the right spot to compete with Vieira & The Talk. And I don't think anyone should be complaining about Inside Edition & Jeopardy! returning to its 3pm slots again. Where it needed to be!! Both shows were on those time slots since their syndicated debuts. It just didn't feel right being on an hour earlier. Now I want to know if Channel 7 is going to bring back the weeknight 10pm repeat again, after the WCL repeat. That was axed thanks to two years of those careless Katie repeats.
  11. I said they didn't say when they'll debut the graphics. Since they'd posted the video yesterday, its only a matter of time.
  12. Tyler Sieswerda from KVUE explains about the new graphics on its website. They didn't say when they'll debut the graphics, but might go for a wild guess (and take it with a grain of salt). If KENS 5 is launching on Thursday, I wouldn't be shocked if KVUE would launch on Tuesday. Similar to KGW & WVEC launches on that same week last month. Well, those color-coded things are now heading towards the Lone Star.
  13. They signed on last week. But Tonight, it's KGW!!! And I wouldn't be shocked if KING 5 be next. They now have their logo displayed.
  14. The Deathstar continues to be adding its newscasts on it stations, similar to the Trib & Fox. This time it's in Grand Rapids. TVNewsCheck states that Gannett-owned WZZM 13 will have a new Sunday Morning newscast from 6-8am, starting this Sunday (8/10). The station will also expand its weekday morning newscast to 4:30am, beginning August 18th.
  15. Well. I know they had to do something. Did they really have a choice? The Allbritton deal is done and the ComCorp deal is still sitting there, now hitting the 15th month this Wednesday. They knew this had to get this done. Have the DOJ/FTC sign-off on the ComCorp deal? If not, it's an extremely long wait. If DOJ/FTC finally sign-off on the deal, it may not be a speedy approval, because of a shell problem. Although they might sign-off on the Marshall properties in the Quads, Shreveport & Midland by a JSA waiver, what about ComCorp's other properties in Tyler & Baton Rouge? Unless they amend the application, and have a sharing arrangement for a short period of time, or eliminate the key sharing agreements entirely (option, sale of commercial time (JSA); maybe form a news carriage agreement), Wheeler would probably let it sit there, just like all the other deals with proposed sharing agreements. But I hope with this, barring any further delay, this deal can finally be done. Glad that DuJuan McCoy is finally coming back to the TV fold. He stated after selling KXVA/KIDY to London that he was planning on buying stations up-market. He made a big move with this deal. I'm hoping he'll get some more stations before too long.
  16. It could be just a coincidence. But maybe they're now stepping their news game up because of their newly-acquired sister station in Tulsa, and even then, KOKH wouldn't still have a boatload of news that KTUL have now.
  17. I wonder if they did this so they wouldn't have to distract the countless folks who's getting out of Grant Park for Lollapolooza. They were downstairs for all the other shows tonight.
  18. Most of the London stations, Yes. But for the love of God, please don't kill this logo. As I said back in May:
  19. Wow, I thought they were never going to close it out. But as of yesterday, the sale of KUBD/KTNL & KXLJ-LD to GCI Alaska has now been consummated. Now the question is, will they now buy a TV property in Fairbanks next?
  20. Looks like they're working on the KING 5 site now.
  21. Nothing to cause alarm, but we have another Pappas sell tonight. On the paperwork, it is selling its sole radio station in Modesto, CA, KMPH-AM, to a California non-profit firm, IHR Educational Broadcasting for $50K. IHR & Pappas will form an LMA, while they wait for the FCC greenlight. Plus, they'll file a new application to convert the station to a non-commercial station. I can't wait till they find a buyer for NTV.
  22. Modern logos are just as bland and (sometimes, more) hideous as they comes. I'm sick of these new clean looking uncharacterizing ones, instead of the older, more characterized logos with that "oomph" and "stank" on it, and it would have more lasting power. And that green in Money is more like a neon-like green color, like they want the colors to pop more so it can get the viewers attention.
  23. I was talking about when they came back on since they'd last signed off at 1pm.
  24. I'm not sure how long they've been on, but WVEC on the air right now because of those deadly storms that hit their area earlier today.
  25. At least they're using the proper "bright" red for Breaking News. This is the first time a Gari theme has returned to WVEC since they played the (what I call it) .
