  1. Staying in Chicago, the husband-and-wife team of Bob Sirott and Marianne Murciano host WFLD's Fox Thing in the Morning in this just-uploaded clip from 1997:
  2. Ah, WBBM at the height of its tabloid phase.
  3. And while we are in Arizona, ewjxn just uploaded another 1996 edition of KSAZ's Arizona Prime News -- at least the first 30 minutes of it. This was after the station adopted the Fox 10 News brand in other dayparts (and the CBS-era "10" logo was retired), but Arizona Prime News would remain essentially unchanged until it became Fox 10 News at 9 a few months later:
  4. Continuing our recent Arizona theme but moving south one market, here's a 1989 newscast from KVOA in Tucson:
  5. Another KSAZ clip -- this time the beginning of the 10 p.m. edition -- from that hybrid era of new "Fox 10" IDs but old "10 News" news branding and graphics:
  6. Yet another great new Phoenix upload from Sloan's TV Archive -- the 5 p.m. hour of KTVK's Good Evening Arizona from 1996:
  7. KPNX, Phoenix; 10 p.m., 1996:
  8. KNXV, Phoenix; 10 p.m., 1996 (from the tail end of THIS unconventional era of the station's history):
  9. WBBM introduces its viewers to ENG technology and minicam vans, 1978:
  10. KPHO, Phoenix; 6 p.m., 1996:
  11. KSAZ's Arizona Prime News from September, 1996 (without the open). The new "Fox 10" logo, not yet adopted by the station's news department, can already be seen in some promos:
  12. KPNX, Phoenix; 4 p.m., 1996:
  13. From 2005, a promo for the Arizona News Channel, which repeated KTVK newscasts:
  14. KTTV, Los Angeles; 10pm, 1988 -- with a wonderful long close featuring On Your Side:
  15. Another example of WSVN "influence," this time from a station Canada -- a bit subtler than the ones above, but still obvious:
  16. WWJ, Detroit, 1977:
  17. And from a decade later:
  18. Dave Walker and Lois Hart were another husband-and-wife team at CNN back in the 1980s. In fact, they anchored the channel's premiere broadcast on June 1, 1980. Here's a short profile of the duo:
  19. And speaking of Chris Curle, here she is co-anchoring Take Two on CNN with her husband Don Farmer back in 1982. The topic is local TV news consultants and Al Primo, the father of Eyewitness News, is the guest:
  20. And another treat from Bryan Beasley; an edition of Good Evening Arizona from 1995, when KTVK was a freshly minted independent:
  21. CLTV, Chicago, 1997:
  22. And the clip above means we now have this as well: https://youtu.be/aO22akMfbjw?t=1724
  23. Here's a treat -- the 5pm hour of KTVK's Good Evening Arizona from 1996 with the director's track:
  24. WMAQ, Chicago; 4:30pm, 1986, when Warner Saunders was the sports anchor:
  25. The launch of MSNBC with Jodi Applegate, fresh from KTVK's Good Morning Arizona:
