  1. WAFF will soon launch the WWSB package.
  2. I'm know WZDX has Ross Xpression. I'm not sure what the TEGNA graphics is built on, but that could be part of their hold up.
  3. It appears WZDX will launch soon. They’re now using the weather graphics on their website.
  4. It’s kind of a slap in the face to Baron that they went with EEC for the radars. Baron is right down the road (mountain) from WAAY.
  5. Some stations are having software problems with the station. That’s what took WRTV so long to launch.
  6. Nexstar has been pretty quick about changing things over lately. They’ll want that station to shed any Sinclair-isms stat.

  15. Logo yes. Set no. I’m told the purpose of the promo is to give an upbeat tone to the upcoming changes. You should also fact check yourself before you take to your keyboard. According to Drew Smith’s LinkedIn he hasn’t worked at WRTV since 2015. WRTV was supposed to launch about month ago. But, the station is having all sorts of issues with its automation software. I’m told they’re the first station with its software to launch the package.
  16. They may be under contract with their current provider for a little bit longer.
  17. I know of a couple of issues getting Ignite and Chryon 5 to work together with this package. Could be part of the problem.
  18. They shouldn't be on the same IFB Channels, in theory they should be able to hear each other. Unless they are using some sort of app - like Unity. It could be to minimalize any shot delays / awkward chat, so the other can look ahead at scripts. Things just work better when there's less going on.
  19. They’ve used the breaking news cuts along side Aerial for at least the last year and a half.
  20. Mimi is still employed full time at a local radio station. WXIN is the only one with a dedicated traffic anchor.
  21. WSFA moves to their new space in downtown Montgomery tomorrow.
  22. Scripps is replacing the 30 minute version of “The Now” with a daily Coronavirus special.
