Evrod Cassimy (pronounced kass-uh-mee) from KCNC in Denver (he joined KCNC from WWBT/WUPV here in Richmond back in 2011) will be joining WDIV-Local 4 in Detroit beginning August 12. He'll be the new co-anchor for Local 4 News Today. Keith Carson from WCSH/WLBZ will be joining The Weather Channel in August. His last day at News Center will be on July 29.

To Acadiana (South-Central Louisiana) we go... KDVR Fox 31 in Denver has announced a change to its evening anchor line up. Jeremy Hubbard and Deborah Takahara will be the new primary anchor team for the Fox 31 News at 5 and the Fox 31 News at 9 starting Monday, April 8th. Ron Zappolo will retire after 30 years in broadcasting Friday (he anchored at KDVR since 2000, before that he did sports for KUSA and KCNC). Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Fanjul is leaving WPEC in West Palm Beach. His last broadcast was Sunday (March 31). He joined WPEC from WGN in 2008 as the 7pm anchor, then management moved him to mornings and then later to weekend evenings. According to Jose Lambiet of Gossip Extra, he wants to "seek other opportunities".

The theme at 17:21 and 23:51 is a production music track called "In Your World" by Killer Tracks.

WRIC weekend meteorologist Jason Myers announced on his Facebook page yesterday that this Thursday (Mar. 28th) will be his last day with the station. He will be joining ABC 36 (WTVQ) in Lexington, Kentucky as their new Chief Meteorologist.

VARTV reports that Matt Lincoln is now the new sports director for WPEC-CBS 12 in West Palm Beach, Florida. March 1st was Lincoln's last day at WWBT-NBC 12 in Richmond, VA. He takes over for Pat Murphy, who is retiring after almost 30 years (Murphy worked at WPEC and before that, WPTV). Amanda Meadows is now the new traffic reporter for WJLA-ABC 7 in Washington, DC beginning March 18th. Tuesday (March 12) was her last day at WTVR-CBS 6 in Richmond.

Two reporters are leaving WWBT (Richmond, VA)... Today (Nov. 21) is Andy Jenks' (reporter and anchor of NBC12 News Today: Sunday) last day with the station. Later this month he will be joining the Henrico (pronounced hen-RY-coh) County public school system as the new director of communications. Reporter Nicole Bell (who covers the Tri-Cities - the area south of Richmond where I live, not the Tennessee one - for the station) is also leaving the station after seven years. Yesterday (Nov. 20th) was her last day. She starts next month as the new director of communications and public relations for Petersburg Public Schools. As a Petersburg resident, I say congrats and good luck!

This afternoon, it was announced on WTVR's Facebook page that Sam Brock is leaving the station after four years. He's joining KNTV (NBC Bay Area) in San Francisco.

I forgot to post these (sorry!). From Richmond... Former longtime WWBT anchor Gene Cox is joining WRIC. He will be anchoring 8 News at 5:30 with Amy Lacey starting August 1st (tomorrow).
