Yesterday was apparently the debut of the streaming hour. The full launch show is here.

On that note from the thumbnails in the video archives I see that Colleen Sullivan is now regularly anchoring 11am instead of Jovana Lara.
The thumbnail for the on demand 11am newscasts confirm that change.

Sylvia Perez announced today that Brian Jackson will be joining her as co-anchor at Noon. I believe he will still appear on GDC, albeit in a reduced role.
Also, the 3-anchor format has been reintroduced on Good Day (from 6-9A). The 9A hr. remains unchanged and it appears they will be going with a solo anchor from 4:30-6A. Don’t know who the solo anchor will be however.
Roseanne Tellez has been MIA (which is a bit concerning). Hopefully she hasn’t been cut.
So, you're saying that it's still Brian and Natalie at 9?
Side note, does Kaitlin come on earlier than 9am, these days? -

@24994J Why the name change to the thread? Isn't “60 Minutes” a better catch all for any news related to the program, just like the evening and morning programs having similar threads?
The mod team has established that we have too many of these catch-all threads, and it's not just a logo or correspondent change that's leading to its creation. This specific storyline with the show isn't likely going away anytime soon. It may evolve and eventually turn into a catch-all, but this feels important enough, at this time, to keep this as a single topic discussion.

It'll be interesting to see if any of the main evening news anchors are actually en route to Rome & considering the time of day the news broke here early in the morning, wouldn't be surprised if this is the case, that they're reporting from the Vatican in time for tonight's newscasts at 6:30 ET.
David Muir was in Paris for spring break, but I don't know if he came back to New York before the pope's passing.

I moved this to General TV, as this thread can be a catch-all for coverage and anchor plans. Precedent suggests that the funeral will happen 4-6 days after death.
May he rest in peace, and may the college of cardinals choose a successor to continue Francis' legacy of humanity and compassion.

Does anyone. Know what happened to Bianca Rae? She joined KCAL in January 2024 from Spectrum News 1 SoCal, but she seems to have disappeared. Was she let go or did she quit?
I blocked the first attempt at this question, but I'm guessing you'd keep posting it. She didn't post her exit, the station would never say it, so you'll never truly find out. I'm guessing it was a part-time role post-Spectrum. Nothing more.

Not sure what happened, but the 11pm newscast for April 8th is entirely the sports scores that they insert for streaming after broadcast. https://abc7ny.com/videoClip/16147210/
Does anyone here work at WABC7, and if so can this be fixed? I like to re-watch if I miss something, and Mike's excitement before Sports, where he seemed to throw his pen(?) was fun to watch the other night. The whole show isn't the sports scores. The bit with the pen happens at the 22:00 mark.

Good Lord, this whole discussion is not worth the webpage it's printed on. There's no grand conspiracy here.
You have a brand new building, you show it off. Corporate paid for it, so why not? Heck, The View did a drone fly-through of the building on day 1, showing everything, including this atrium space. Beyond that, the end of March "eviction" for Live is the likely case, but Lord knows delays happen. I'm sure their plan was to be in the studio for the start of this month, but they couldn't, so they came up with a creative, reasonably attractive stopgap measure. Credit to the staff for making this work.
I doubt there's anything more to it than that.

Eva specifically mentioned that Will Reeve was in for DeMarco, but it's not entirely clear if Lara and/or Sam will be on every day. Either way, they all seem to be equals as co-hosts.

Last Friday's 6 had the full open, before the script change. I really think only the 11 had been shortened, of those two shows.

Did I miss something? When did CBS ditch their TS Studio?
Just announced last week. They're moving to the Evening News set later this year.

So, what happened to Mark Schanowski? Did he leave? I thought he was per.diem/#3 at ABC7 for sports?
Ryan was off most of last week, but was back on Friday night, Dionne was reporting from Milwaukee on Thu/Fri, and Mark must not have been available on Thursday, so that's where Marshall slotted in. Dionne was then off for the weekend, so Mark was sent to Milwaukee for the Illini's 2nd round game, and Marshall was in-studio again. They'll all co-exist, at least for now, with baseball starting, Bulls & Hawks winding down, pre-NFL draft coverage, and the usual Spring break time off.

And why are we bumping threads from a year-and-a-half ago?

Too bad they clip sports out of their on demand recordings. Is third fiddle at WLS a step up from Sports Director at WBBM?
Middays on 670AM The Score is his main job, these days, so pinch-hitting at 7 is good exposure, but not an upgrade or downgrade, per se. It's just another in the notable history of sports radio hosts filling in on TV, and vice versa.

Please keep the discussion in the separate thread. No need for it to be here.

The WPLG story is big news, so I broke that off into its own thread. Please take the discussion there.

@bennettmonk Since you seem to only react to posts with emojis instead of ever actually saying something, I'll post a screenshot of the thumbnail. That way we can clear up your apparent confusion (
