That is one groovy Channel 3 News logo!

After two decades, MaryEllen Resendez is leaving KNXV:

A variety of Salinas-Monterey market local news stories from 1987 on The Grateful Dead: Features include the KMST set of the era and some pre-TVbD KSBW elements.
-
The open to a 1991 Kentucky gubernatorial debate, which was produced by TAB — the Television Association of the Bluegrass (all the major commercial stations in Lexington) and aired as a roadblock across all of them.

It's more KPNX from 1996...except a change seems to be in the air, as a new variant of the logo with NEWS in the state outline is beginning to appear...
-
Very evident the attempt to tie in with the network news theme and the network logo, too.

A close to WAVE TV News in 1987: Kentuckiana weather got so bad that summer that WLKY was knocked off the air at one point: It took them until next morning to get full power:

Found it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=64JmPFJd_pY;t=2386 There was another in that series, too, I believe.

Delaware's cable "First State News" in 1984 used TM's Count On Us:

More of that CFN stuff... This is a good piece because it shows how CFN was operated (a smaller operation than AFN or BFBS, which we've seen before). It was the final Canadian-produced program before yielding to AFN as Canadian Forces Europe wound down. It is from 1994, not 1992. It discusses briefly how the loss of the Olympus-1 satellite caused them problems, too.

This guy? Nice ID!

KSTP in 1987: Clips from the opening of WCCO's communication center in 1983 and (first video) a historical special from then. "On the Move" was the theme — and likely the three-note signature to WCCO 1983:

It's not American, but old military news programs are among the highlights of any YouTube collection of news specials simply because the material is so rare:

The need for more News Team 4-era material (1990-early 92) is still palpable.

More KFOR from 1993...but still with the Gilmer custom theme:

KEPR in 1993...kind of forgettable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=MMJwMmEUtIs;t=271

Discovered composers & publishers of music themes
Samantha replied to promoguy98's topic in News Music & Voiceovers
The signature definitely sounds like it could have an image to it. Neither station used Peters or Silvertree, so those theories are out. I wonder if this might be Tuesday...some of the instrumentation reminds me of the later Tuesday stuff and the Network Industrials... -
Discovered composers & publishers of music themes
I was lost in a Youtube surfing time warp and stumbled upon a random anchor/reporter's channel. After going through a few of his videos, has has some rare footage of WTOK in Mississippi from 1990 with an unknown theme for their close. I've never heard it before, and to me, doesn't sound like generic production music. Also @Pine Belt Media will probably enjoy seeing Roslyn Anderson, who appears at the beginning of the video. Someone who has a channel should contact him to upload an open or full newscasts if he has any. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=wj-ZSnh5X6Y;m=5;s=25
Listen to this open (unfortunately slathered in director's track)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=ybRRrsOUotM;t=136 There's a close at the end too that's less smothered. It's clearly the same theme. It's a good one, too! -
Some WNNE from late 1995/96: WCAX's full 40th anniversary special in 1994 (new open excerpt at 21:26). Watch for a brief clip of a young(er) Bernie Sanders at 24:51!

What is the point? Do they think not streaming just drives people to traditional TV? It doesn't.

This is a replacement for the Fayetteville site in the Northwest Arkansas Mall. After this, KFSM plans to update its Fort Smith facility. They are having to do some politics as to where their newscasts will originate full time. KFSM's news shows come from Fort Smith. KHBS/KHOG has its primary studio at Rogers, and KNWA/KFTA has primary studios at Fayetteville (though both of the latter have Fort Smith facilities as well). I'd be interested to see which stations rate better in which areas.

Discovered composers & publishers of music themes

That theme use was discovered after I audited DeWolfe, so it makes sense that I wouldn't have caught it then. I'm not familiar with that disc. Some of Pathfinder sounds familiar, too... -
Legacy has bought Gray stations as a minority group before. They typically run them with a few subchannels. Their four existing stations (and two satellites) are KHME/KQME Rapid City (KOTA) KMLU Monroe, LA (KAQY) KNHL Hastings, NE (KHAS) KNDB/KNDM Bismarck (KNDX/KXND) They will almost certainly be run with subs. The structure of network services, especially ABC and Fox, is in doubt. More to the point, KTWO's news operation may be at risk of being axed.
