  1. Following tomorrow's broadcast, Savannah will officially go on maternity leave. I expect Meridith to return for at least one morning. I also expect Natalie, Tameron and Hoda to anchor the next few weeks. And it wouldn't surprise me to see Katie come back for a week.
  2. There are 2 questions that continue to be on my mind. I wonder when Diane will be leaving and when we will find out who replaces David on the weekend. Could it be like when Ginger left weekend GMA and they will have rotating anchors for a while and eventually choose one or will they choose one in September?
  3. Well that sucks. Was hoping for at least a refresh.
  4. Just clarifying, I'm not saying it should be at 2pm, I'm saying it IS going to be at 2pm.
  5. So the Meredith Vieira Show will air at 2pm on 4NY. I don't see how that is a good idea to compete with GH and The Talk. I think 11am or 3pm would have been better.
  6. ABC News has done 2 refreshes to there set, both in 3 days.
  7. An NBC Nightly News type desk would work great at ABC. ---- I have to say, I am going to sincerely miss Diane, but I am getting super excited for David's move to the chair!
  8. Completely agree. Nearly every time David anchors, they start with something on the screen(s). This is certainly for David. Could also help 20/20. I am hoping they remove the newsroom parts of the set on the sides though. I am not a huge fan of that. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more updates to the set over the next month before David takes over. Hoping for a new desk too. The current one just doesn't seem to fit with the set anymore. But love the new screen!
  9. Well, I was right (sorry to be so blatant). They got a new screen behind the anchor desk. You can see it on my twitter account, @BehindNYNews. Very nice!
  10. It's funny too because I was laughed at here for even mentioning I thought he might be a good candidate to anchor. Well, WCBS agrees with me.
  11. Fox O&Os recently got a new package. (Though, I already think they need a new one). NBC has updated a few markets so WNBC could see the minor update. I really don't think anyone needs an update. I like what we have.
  12. David is anchoring today. Rather than starting with the big screen behind him, they used the other desk angle with the TVs behind him. In face, the big screen wasn't seen at all tonight. I wonder if they are doing some studio updates for David's move to the WN anchor desk.
  13. I don't think it's time yet. The last graphic package was looking old after 3 years, the current graphics aren't looking old yet. I think ABC needs to look at KTRK and WPVI before they get to WABC for new graphics.
  14. John debuted. It was good but not very different. It just seemed like another newscast, which for PIX 11, I guess is really good.
  15. I didn't say it was bad, I just said it has bias.
  16. I dont have an opinion either way, all I will say is that, that is very biased reporting.
  17. Seating tends to be (not always but tends to be) who has seniority. Tamsen has seniority over Scott and John. Why they don't do this for Suki and Kori, I don't know.
  18. WABC has 2 females at 5pm. One is on the left....
  19. Bill solo-ed the 6pm.
  20. Diana and David will anchor at 11pm.
  21. Plus, GMA hasn't seen any ratings dip without them so, it wasn't them alone that made the program.
  22. Matt has signed a contract extension with Today. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/13/business/media/despite-upheavals-nbc-extends-lauers-contract.html?ref=media&_r=0
  23. Kimmel is customized in NY.
  24. I just have to mention that there is quite a competition, WABC v. KABC on twitter. Rob Powers and Rob Fukuzaki have a bet as do Bill Evans and Garth Kemp as well as David Novarro and David Ono. It is actually quite fun to watch!
