  1. New "map" and logo on ABCNews.com/WN.

I like the new map a lot. Look forward to seeing what ABC has in store.

Hopefully the same theme but with a new open part because the open they currently use sounds like it could be a close.

  2. So I have to wonder if ABC will axe Michelle for this. She wasn't doing well to begin with, they could use this to get rid of her and to make her accountable and maybe people will see that and begin to forgive.

  3. Would WCBS wanna take her back though?

I can't say but she was a good morning anchor at WCBS and I bet she would be a good weekend morning anchor and they can get rid of Andrea. I'm sorry but I'm not a big fan of Andrea's anchoring, she can go back to her reporter roll.

  4. You can tell David and ABC are really trying to get viewers, David was in Hungary last week and he's in L.A. tonight.

Lester and NBC are fighting back by having Lester in Hungary tonight. But I find it interesting, ABC started this and NBC is reacting, not the other way around. Let the ratings war continue!

  5. Nicole was definitely a great talent on The View and she should not have been fired.

ABC, just admit that cutting Elisabeth was a bad decision and invite her back...

Elizabeth has said herself she has no interest in returning to The View. She loves her job at the FNC.

  6. Ok, so watching today's program, I've had some time to see how the show is doing and how each co-host is doing.

First of all, Joy moderated on Friday and I think it went pretty well and will improve even more over time. It was REALLY nice to have the program without Whoopi.

Whoopi was great when she started on the View but she really is just over powering and too much now. I hope that ratings on Friday's when Whoopi is off are better than the other days so executives can see that it's time for Whoopi to go.

Michelle Collins needs to go, I feel like they added her to fill the "comedy spot" that Joy left, but now that Joy is back, they just need to ditch Michelle because she contributes nothing to the program and her comments are just off and most of her jokes are just bad. Someone put it best on Facebook, she brings the level of smart conversation to a low.

Paula Farris is doing a great job, she is truly filling her role as the "news woman" on the program and she is doing great so far.

Raven while not the brightest of the bunch adds that "pop culture" and younger generation to the table. So she shouldn't be on the politics segments and all but she does add something to the show.

Sherri filled in today since Cameron is out until November and Whoopi doesn't do Fridays. Sherri did a good job, her contributions were great but since she left as a regular co-host, she just seems like she isn't contributing as much and sits there. Hopefully this changes as she is on more and more as a contributed.

Finally, Anna Novarro was on the program today for a political segment and did a great job. She was funny and smart and it was a good part of today's program.

The episode can be seen here:

If you ask me, an ideal set up would be Joy moderating with Sherri, Cameron, Raven and Paula.

I'm sorry this post was so long, I hate long posts but I just wanted to break the show down to it's parts.

  7. I can understand David being annoyed, he got an interview with THE POPE and they still didn't win the night. If you ask me though, ABC doesn't advertise WNT nearly as much as NBC does Nightly News. I rarely see WNT promos while I see tons of NN promos on a lot of different platforms. As the saying goes, "you need to invest money to make money." Maybe ABC should be investing some more into WNT and David.

  8. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program. our discussions, involving 10 needing weekend co-anchors, sheena parveen replacing glenn when he retires, etc.

What discussions? All this is is you bring this up again. I'm sorry but the way you are presenting yourself on this site is just immature. You could very well be telling the truth but just the way you are coming off, it's just not working.

  9. I'm watching the fourth hour, and I'm not noticing anything new. Is the update only during the first 2 or 3 hours?

    EDIT: Never mind...

I can't say I like them over the outgoing graphics. Kind of a lateral move. I was hoping for something that matches the opening headlines, unless that changed, too.

I think the animation is a bit much. They need to slow down the animations a little.

  10. As usual, The View gets tons of media attention. I found this article interesting. Of course these are all rumors but it says that Executives want Whoopi gone and may want Raven gone too. Apparently in an ideal scenario, they will also bring back Sheri as a full time host and apparently they are willing to make some of these changes throughout the season.

So what I'm envisioning, if this is true (and that's a big if), is Joy moderating alongside Michelle, Paula, Candice and Sherri.

  11. As far as I know, she's staying on as a regular political analyst for ABC News and frequent This Week panelist.

I heard she was going back to MSNBC, but if she is staying at ABC, good.

  12. Look's like The View has an updated logo. I'm sure the set will be updated as well.

Check out their Facebook page, they have tons of new videos and promos. I have to say, I like what I see so far. Season 19 could be the turn around season for The View.

  13. I feel as if the 2013 update was a nod towards New Day and CBS This Morning. I'd expect less wood in the design this time, as well as more modern furnsihings.

Definitely agree with this. They were trying to be more like CTM but it really didn't come out very well.

When I think of morning show set spectrum, I think of GMA on one side, very flashy, not very warm and then there is CTM which is very warm, quiet and not crazy.

I think GMA needs to move a little towards CTM but not as much as Today tried in 2013.
