That 3D logo made the stations looks so 2000s

Reminder they are still yet to find replacement for Montana stations outside Billings.

To your point — looking at the Baltimore DMA, community first (and station ownership) must definately play a role. Here, the Hearst owned NBC: WBAL 11 is the market leader.
It's competition must definately play a role: CBS's start up O&O WJZ, Sincalir's Fox 45, and Scripps' WMAR (ABC, 2). All three of those are weak product station owners.

In Canada, CityNews has new look. A major departure from previous formats. They now have new set, which ditched the standing anchor format. Honestly why.

KTUU had dropped Tower for Icon News. Honestly, they should have been dropped when they took over CBS. Tower on CBS station is just weird.

Imagine this...a Sinclair station adding a morning newscast, replacing TND!
(spoiler alert: It's WPGH and it's produced by WPXI. Still, surprised that WPGH is playing along!)
Most likely, WPXI wants to keep up with KDKA and WPKD. I'm sure Cox would gladly snatch up WPGH if they could
Better them than airing TND IMO. At least WPXI is local.

Kind of sad that KDLT getting absorbed by KSFY/Gray is likely the least worst outcome of the Red River stations as that group sold off assets.
Yeah, another “Gray vs News Hub” market

Having seen so much criticism across these threads for companies like Sinclair, Tegna and Nexstar, I wanted to pinpoint what you all think are the prime issues with station owners like these. Anything from how they manage their stations and treat their employees, to their news presentation styles. Are there any strengths to their methods? O&O groups included.
Don’t forget Scripps, they had also been replacing newscasts with “Scrippscasts”, much like Sinclair does.

That didn’t take long. Expect the Coyotes to move from Antenna TV to KASW.
And it’s confirmed. KASW will take Coyotes games. Also same branding as KUPX, KMCC and MTN sub channels.

Seeing Scripps drop CW in MTN sub channels, I don’t think WMYD will get the CW. Nexstar could have no choice but choose sub channel in WDIV

They’ve changed the like order in embed Twitter/X feed, and now sort on like counts. One of reason why I hate Elon Musk.

I guess CW Sports are one of reason, TEGNA's CW station didn't carry CW sports

In 1994 affiliate rearrangement, when Fox is getting WAGA and WJBK, CBS had considered piping nearby stations while finding replacement stations. They would eventually moved to Channel 46 and 62, respectively

Also, would WWJ dare go to the call letter box, following KDKA, WBZ, etc? I didn’t think so a month ago but now, I don’t know.
I don’t think they will use call sign as branding. It’s a new news operation and they don’t think people will recognize it from call signs.

Forgot to mention that WOGX’s newscast is actually simulcast of WOFL with Fox51’s own open and own bug. This means that WCJB will now be the only local based newscast in Gainsville

Combination of WCJB-TV being a 500 lb elephant in the market, and Gainesville being between Orlando and Jacksonville... and WJXT out of Jacksonville providing decent coverage.
They also have WOGX, which is semi satellite of WOFL

Nexstar Ripoff really
They are using Lato and Montserrat, both are free fonts. Guess that’s why it looks similar.

Why I can’t add text before videos?
In January 2024 WISN TV launched new look. and recently it has rollout in other stations.
When did WDSU update to HD?
