WSTE/Teleisla will relaunch as Univision Puerto Rico, marking Univision's return to Puerto Rico. They have been airing Univision programming since January, after WLII dropped its remaining Univision programming to become an independent station. WLII, the outgoing Univision affiliate was split from what is now TelevisaUnivision while they kept WSTE. Since then WLII has readopted the TeleOnce branding and started gradually dropping Univision programming and airing original programming based in PR. Before WLII completely dropped Univision programming, the only programming from Univision in weekday was telenovelas. TelevisaUnivision relaunched Noticias Univision as N+ Univision, to unified with Televisa N+ branding for news. The national newscast is now known as Noticiero N+ Univision. It has been adapted to local news as well.

YouTube recommended this video, it’s WISH-TV rewinds the day they lost CBS affiliations and “going independent.” They would eventually become the CW affiliate after they disaffiliated and CBS moved to WTTV. Honestly when I saw that title I thought they will disaffiliate with the CW because now that Nexstar is moving CW to their own station.
