Actually, the bulk of the station's syndicated programming seems to be concentrated on weekends. The vast majority of the weekend schedule will be filled by being barter shows including most of Allen Media's current first-run and off-network output (including two Weather Channel shows I wasn't aware it had sold into OTA syndication, Top 10 and Deadline to Disaster), Heartland (the long-running and still-running CBC family drama), Forensic Factor, Raceweek, Just for Laughs Gags, Country Fix (apparently a music video program) and Positively America with Ernie Anastos (a show from Alex Paen's Telco featuring interviews and "uplifting" stories) as well as the E/I shows Awesome Adventures and Wild About Animals (filling additional E/I commitments outside of the One Magnificent Morning block).

True, I was only talking about weekdays. They may purchase more for the fall.

Other than Justice with The People and The Kelly Clarkson Show (which also already airs on KOMO), there is practically no syndicated programming on channel 51.

That’s literally all of it and it airs in the middle of the night. Basically their entire lineup is The National Desk, ARC Seattle and Seattle Refined. They couldn’t air KOMO news from 7-9am and 10pm?😳

Just flipping through channels- Does anyone know the story behind 2 networks (NBC and ABC) Both showing the Tournament of Roses Parade? I don't have cable anymore, but I think HGTV used to show it as well. Feels like over kill. At least NBC v. CBS for the Macy's Parade, they're on different places on the route (And both take different angles to their coverage)

Bonus points to NBC for showing the crows just now with ABC's booth front and center on the screen for almost 10 seconds.

CBS used to but they dropped it for some reason a while back.

Aside from MyNetworkTV, that has to be a first...a broadcast network airing repeats of another network's show.

Full House reruns aired on NBC in summer 1991 right before it went into broadcast syndication but that wasn’t while original episodes were airing.

That would be the goal for CBS, wouldn’t it? To retain as much of the lead-in as necessary. Stations could have the option of airing the hour right after Price, after their expanded hour newscast, or at 2PM/3PM to compete directly against Daily.

The first two options would be more likely if the soaps were to be canned (or moved to P+)….Noon/11am CT, Y&R’s time slot outside the Eastern Time Zone in most markets…or 1pm/Noon. Outside the Eastern Time Zone stations would have the choice of the CBS newscast or local news at 11am and the other at noon.

3pm ET /2pm CT is still LMAD’s time slot in some markets unless they were willing to move it to the morning.

Any of those time slots could go head to head with NBC News Daily somewhere. Most eastern stations would likely go head to head with it. 3/2 could work as a leadin to 4pm news in the East but then affiliates would have to program 1pm-2pm ET.

I saw promo about CW7 rebranding to ARC West Michigan on Jan 1 just major changes are coming CW7 becoming ARC on Jan 1 when watching CW7 late Sun/Early Mon. I think it is WXSP taking over The CW why would WOTV get rid of ABC I don't think WZZM can't be viewed OTA in Kazoo or BC in around that area I could be wrong on that.

Why didn't The CW move on Sep 1 to the Nexstar TV station as I thought that when Sinclair renewed The CW that it also was for West Michigan?

It looks like CW is going to be on WOTV 41.2 according to Rabbitears. I read that on the Discord. Not sure what CW7 will become. Not sure if you meant ABC when you said ARC but ABC will be remaining on WOTV.

Perhaps they could move NXT to Wednesday nights, but a problem with that is that it could restart the Wednesday Night Wars with AEW and TBS.

Inside the NFL could move to Wednesdays no problem.

Whatever games they pick up will likely be primetime spots that won't interfere much with Fox's lineup and be shows the viewers won't mind being pre-empted or pushed to late night.

I could see some West Coast 9:00 starts or some Sunday afternoon starts if Fox doesn’t have any sports that afternoon.

welp we got a wild change coming in down here in Orlando

the 9am news on WKMG is….gone. entirely. no warning or anything. just gone after 6 years. the Drew Barrymore show is now on at 9am for a full hour (the third timeslot move it’s had since WKMG got the rights in June). entertainment tonight now has 2 runs (for the first time since WESH/WKCF split runs in 2013 I think it was) at 3pm and 7:30pm. news 6 takeover remains at 3:30pm. the 1:37am drew barrymore is back to inside edition.

only change coming out of Orlando so far. everybody else has settled in to their schedules

I didn’t think ET was allowed to air before 6pm similar to Wheel of Fortune.

That source also says that NXT plans to stay on Tuesdays, but is willing to shift if the network says so, which would depend on whether The CW is willing to move Inside the NFL.

I think the shows are interchangeable. But it might be better to keep Inside the NFL on Tuesdays while MNF is fresh on fans’ minds.

The link's down for whatever reason, but looking ahead on the website's schedule, which uses TitanTV, does support this. I clearly saw The CW programming running in prime time from 11/13 onwards; it also shows MyNetworkTV programming moving to 11 pm, after the news.

I think what you saw was the syndicated Chicago Fire and Law and Order: SVU. Which has aired every night in primetime since they lost MyNet to WADL. I know, confusing.

They must have just updated them.

It would be so interesting if Nexstar appealed to CTV or Global and the CRTC to borrow a subchannel across the river for The CW+ while they got in the Adell legal congo line (and because it's currently packed with CanCon).

And for purely personal reasons I don't want to see the CW on WDIV-DT2 because it's This TV's longest-lived affiliate on the same channel outside WHDH. 🤭

It would likely be a Seattle Comet situation where This TV programming is still ran outside of CW programming hours. But that is only a temporary solution in Seattle because KUNS is going to be their new affiliate in January. I feel ya.

Basically, if it wasn't for Kevin Adell, we would have had CBS 38 way back then instead of CBS having to desperately buy WGPR at the time.

Between Graham and Scripps, who's more likely to land the CW if Nexstar...cough cough Mission abandons WADL?

Likely Graham because I can see Scripps dumping it in Phoenix next year

    Sheesh.

To be fair he didn’t say that. I guess he just assumed that all of them were carrying it without checking listings.

Ken Jeong talker will be Sinclair, Nexstar or Scripps for the fall of 2024. I watched Popstar Today since it moves when LIV Golf is on the ads are only Poshmark which the host Elizabeth Staton should say brought to you by Poshmark, and also just promos for news and the sitcoms with a couple of buy direct ads.

First I’ve heard of a Ken Jeong talk show. EDIT: Didn’t see the above post.

It’s not inevitable it goes to Paramount Plus. It’s entirely possible to just send it to the graveyard of TV shows.

That’s quite a take. I’m sure Paramount would love to profit from it if CBS doesn’t feel it’s worth it anymore.
