1. It's so very random. Sometimes Eve and/or Jaciel is ALONE for 4 hours - though has not happened I don't think since Eve returned. Sometimes Rob or Wendy is off and they anchor alone, sometimes they have a fill-in. Makes no sense to me. I prefer them together.
2. I've always thought Sarah was really underutilized as an anchor, but she's also a great reporter. I think maybe they realize both. I remember being upset when they brought in Tamala Edwards from nowhere to anchor the morning show with Matt O'Donnell. Sarah and Matt were a great pair! Still miss that actually. I need to watch 6 more often again. I've gotten into a pattern of watching 69 (being from the Lehigh Valley) but it gets stale when they continue to report the same things over and over again.
3. I'm a teacher and caught GMA one day last week during a snow day. I found Michael's presence to be annoying, and the studio audience thing towards the end just seems out of place. Also, what has always bothered me about Michael, WHY DOESN'T HE FIX the gap in his teeth?! Drives me nuts!
4. No, I know that, I just thought it was interesting since KJWP has no news at all, and didn't before. Also isn't it licensed to Wilmington, DE? What a large reach they now have for the news updates
5. I just happened to turn my TV on to METV channel 2 the other day, around 2:45 PM, and Joy and Jaciel were giving a news update from the PPL Center studio during the commercial break of whatever show was on. The backdrops behind them even used the METV logo. I thought it was really interesting.
6. WOW I don't think I've ever seen Chris do anything except weekend mornings! Always thought it was a shame, because I really like his forecasts.
7. It's mostly because in the Lehigh Valley, we're often forgotten by the Philly stations unless something really dramatic or gruesome happens. So we have nowhere else to turn for local news except for the Morning Call or Express Times newspapers, the latter of which is a sad excuse for a paper. WFMZ does a good job, but I think they could do even better and get even more hyper-local with the news. But they'd need a larger staff for that and that probably wouldn't happen.
8. They need to pay the good ones more! I still miss Meghan Packer and Hillary Lane. I'm actually surprised that Jamie Stover is still around, she is really good and has gotten better I think in the past year than she ever was.
9. Rick & Monica can do 6 & 11, Brian & Sharrie can pick up the 5 and nothing else will change!
10. I didn't think they were together at 10, but I only watched briefly. But I did notice they moved to the PPL Center. Not sure why they had ever not done the weekend evening shows there ... especially since the Saturday morning show has been done there. I wonder how much longer we have to wait for the new set. Seems like it's been a while.
11. How odd. Is 1.5 hours of news on Sunday night really necessary? I suppose it's probably cheaper than syndicated shows. Doesn't the network usually air sports things at that time?
12. Did I miss something? What report was so controversial?
13. I would think it's probably just old...
14. I also thought that was strange. I recorded it but have not watched yet.
15. Clayton is from Nazareth, so it's nice to have a home-town person. Maybe he'll stick around awhile! And I like Dan, too, so I'm glad they hired him!
16. So Chandi Lowry appears to be at some weird, small desk, someone (I'm assuming at the studio) and not the PPL Center - but the PPL Center was used for the morning show this morning. Very odd.
17. Oh no, I like her! She recently got married, though I thought she was from around here so she must be going to another station. I wonder who will do weekend nights? Dan Skeldon has done those a few times. I like him, he's very passionate.

19. Just aired a report saying it'll debut in September and they'll be using the PPL Center for every newscast until then. Interesting!
20. Yes, it was ... not sure why they said that. But the video said "in the coming weeks"
21. Message posted on the WFMZ Facebook page says they are working on a new set with the "latest technology" to celebrate the 40th anniversary! Yesterday, I noticed the anchors using Surface tablets at the desk.
22. She's been the one following most of the leads on that story ... "doggedly" as Rob Vaughn said
23. Sometimes the newscast is sleepy... but when a huge local story breaks, WFMZ really does a great job. They just had a full 9 minutes of coverage of the indictment of the Allentown mayor. There were 3 live reports. In fact it was the whole A-block. I wish they could do stuff like this everyday. It's really where they shine.
24. They announced at 10 on Sunday that Jacqueline Thomas is leaving the station, they didn't say where she was going.
25.
So does WPVI occasionally do the whole weather balloon thing? Or was it more a promotional gimmick for "there goes that action news van" advertisement to say they went to space? I'm sure @Eat News will report that KBEX has one where if Dan Dan the Relapse Man is wet it's raining or pissed himself; if he's sweating profusely he's going through withdrawal or there's a heat wave; if he's swaying there's a strong gust of wind, he's still withdrawaling or on meth; if he's shivering it's cold or still going through withdrawal (it's a bitch); and if he's blue he overdosed.
They did it once that I can remember in recent memory. They launched it sometime in the morning that day and I think I remember Karen Rogers going out to where it landed, live on the air during the morning show.
