  1. Longtime WTTG anchor Tony Perkins announces his departure from the station.  Perkins had worked at WTTG from 1993-1999 before leaving for a stint at Good Morning America, returning to WTTG in 2006 where he most recently worked on Friday & Saturday mornings.  He will continue his afternoon drive radio show with the legendary Donnie Simpson.

Travis is Chief meteorologist while David is chief weathercaster as to why 2 chiefs who knows perhaps for severe weather etc they can tag team.

That's what the arrangement was at WJLA when Doug Hill and Bob Ryan were there together.  Doug typically did the noon and 5pm shows while Bob did 6 and 11pm, but working together during any kind of major weather outbreak.

Angie Goff leaving WRC effective today.  I'm honestly surprised, I know she's definitely a viewer favorite here in DC, going back to her days across town at WUSA.

Looks like she'll be moving across town again to FOX 5.  I don't know where she would end up there, I'd imagine she would only want to leave WRC if she were up for a weekday anchor gig, much like Annie Yu leaving WTTG for WUSA.

10am-noon on an NBC affiliate is a black hole where the worst of syndication goes to die otherwise.

When Ellen first started, she was on from 11am-noon on WRC and was later moved to her current 3pm timeslot when Dr. Phil moved over to WTTG and later WUSA.

Okay,. when you go to cbsnews.com/live, there's some square icons on top of the page. "CBSN", "CBSN New York", "CBS Spors HQ", "ET Live". Click the one that says "CBSN New York".

That first link  I posted earlier "newyork.cbslocal.com/live" should've been streaming the local CBSN and not the national one.

There we go, thanks! 🤙.  Hopefully they'll update the CBSN apps for this, I just checked my iPhone and Xbox One, nothing there yet.

  6. That was NOT a good choice. NBC needs to end weekend editions of TODAY. Peter needs to stay in Washington to help his wife Alison Starling.

I don't see the issue with it. WRC morning anchor Aaron Gilchrist has been going to NYC to do weekends on MSNBC for awhile now, which surprises me because I figured he could do that from the DC or Capitol Hill building.

  7. Per FTVLive, former WTTG weekend morning co-anchor Annie Yu will soon be named weekday morning co-anchor across town at WUSA, replacing Jan Jeffcoat.

I'm happy for her, she's long since deserved a weekday anchoring gig.

  8. I noticed that WRC is starting their Saturday morning newscast at 5:30am now. Not sure if this will extend to Sunday (I've set my DVR just in case) or if this is some bizarre one-off appearance at that time. Previously they aired a week in review show called News 4 This Week.
