  1. He needs to be in my freshman year Digital Media Design course in college. I'm only 3 weeks in and this goes against everything I've learned.
  2. Interesting. I didn't think KDKA was one to try something like this! I hope it works out for them because their morning news has always been #3. It's so stale. I don't know how I missed this, but in late May, KDKA let go of Rick Dayton AND Susan Koeppen. Wow. I wonder if this, along with other changes, will hurt their ratings. Could this be the start of the end?
  3. Ooh. I like that shot A LOT. Hope they keep using it post-COVID. Are any anchors at WNBC still at home?
  4. The handheld ones are more hideous, if they are big. KOIN uses super small ones that are hardly noticeable. That's what I was referring to. You can see them at around 2:56 below...
  5. Why are the anchors off center? Also, why use those hideous desktop teleprompter operators? If you don't want to bring in your human teleprompter operator yet, at least buy the ones that go under the desk or super small handheld ones (which they do make).
  6. Craig is in the studio and has been for weeks.
  7. How about we try this? I know it's unorthodox but use a CBS News facility. I mean, I know it's uncommon for networks to produce their newscasts in-house, but these are crazy times we live in.
  8. "And even then for select people." So, are they never going to let some people back in?
  9. Yeah, I've noticed more and more local stations doing the same thing. They are slowly but surely returning to normal.
  10. That's good. I'm not too impressed with Gray's packages. I hope more stations pick up the WAVE look.
  11. Do you know something we don't?
  12. Of course you have I wish more stations would use the package. It looks good and seems easy to utilize. Simple & easy way to give a stations brand into that of CBS.
  13. I know THEY could do it, but these reporters envelop themselves in city roads and traffic patterns and that benefits the viewers, imo. But, this was obviously a local decision. Surprising that something like this would come from WTHR.
  14. But how is a traffic reporter dated? I though my that was one of THE reasons people watched the morning news.
  15. WTHR has officially been Tegna-fied. The look fits them GOOD. Here's the open for "13 News" at Noon.
  16. I highly doubt it's because of acquisition attempts. Even if they do decide to sell, it could be a year or more before they are officially taken over. They still have to operate. It could be because of COVID-19, an error, they are moving to a new website, or those positions got filled and they never took them down.
  17. I can't remember how I did it, and the page just gave me an error message. @Weeters would be better equipped to answer this question!
  18. Cross-posted from Discord: I've been told by a source that WTHR will launch the Tegna GFX/Music next Wednesday (3/25) at noon!
  19. Regarding the Face the State music, as Weeters said (surprisingly) there is no corporate mandate to use C Clarity. It's just cheaper and easier for the stations to use it, so that's why they all do. I'm guessing they also use it because it is a unique opportunity to try something different in terms if the news music we are used to. WBNS' decision to continue the use of Aerial on Face the State has nothing to do with the fact that Tegna may or may not be sold.
  20. This is surreal.
  21. I think the graphics fit them well. Some of the modifications they've done (especially to the L3s) seem a little off...but I'll get used to it. I think they've done a good job with the music, too. It's not like they ditched some legacy package anyway. It was Aerial for crying out loud haha!!
  22. That's what I've been told, too. The new website and app will launch in early April. My WBNS source wouldn't say outright, but seemingly implied the new stuff is coming soon.
  23. I won't be surprised if that happens either. Honestly, MCTYW doesn't work well with the graphics at all. Kind of annoying, actually.
