  1. That'll never happen. There will never be a KING 5 News at 11:00 and KONG 6 News at 11:00 or a KING 5 News at 4:00 and KONG 6 News at 4:00 because its like saying that KONG will open up its own news department to compete against KING. If anything, there can be more regional-focused newscasts that can be coming in a style of NWCN for KONG, but don't expect that.
  2. 24/7 = 2003-2012? Still on air but is now General entertainment TXCN = 1999-2015 NWCN = 1995-2017 NewsWatch 15 = 1989-present Notice something? The repeat channel has lasted longer than the original produced channels.
  3. First... The 24/7 News Channel from KTVB, then TXCN and now NWCN. What's next... NewsWatch 15?
  4. FTVLive has reported a lot of true stories so if this becomes true, truly sad for the Northwest region that they'll losing their only 24-Hour regional cable news channel. NWCN is like TEGNA's last great cable news channel because the only other one (NewsWatch 15) airs nothing but repeats and NWCN was profitable.
  5. There's no doubt that WBAY is clearly the winner in that market with WLUK being a strong second. I think thanks to Nexstar, WFRV is in last and for once, WGBA will catch up! Good for them.
  6. I'd bet they would but after all, Mearl is only on at 5 and 9 with someone else at 10 and Darrell does all the evening broadcasts so whoever else anchors the 10pm with Darrell could do the 6pm as well but I'm not entirely sure on that.
  7. As long as KCRA is #1... NOPE!
  8. That actually looks pretty good! I like it.
  9. Actually, it's the other way around. The Indiana part was first followed by the nationwide trend.
  10. I've followed her since WJW in Cleveland and did see her anchor once at News 12 LI.
  11. Probably so. I like Natalie anyways so this is great for her. Actually been following her career since she was at WTOV.
  12. But lets be honest... they both deserve it.
  13. At this point, I don't care because Sheena is a great meteorologist. She'll do very well in DC at WRC.
  14. Agreed. When your working for the #1 station in any market, its no demotion because people are watching you a lot anyways.
  15. FTVLIve first reported it weeks ago. And its too bad for WCAU because Sheena was one of the good, valuable meteorologists of the team. And I like Sheena myself. Wherever she goes, she'll do great.
  16. Well then it would've been "GWC News" because using "GWN News" on KGWC wouldn't make sense, unless if it was simulcast KGWN's newscasts.
  17. You mean, Cheyenne, WY? Because that's KGWN-TV out of Cheyenne.
  18. I believe that it was WFLD needed, hire a Chicago veteran to "surge" its news operation. However that could backfire because Bob Sirott and Walter Jacobson didn't help the ratings there.
  19. Oh yeah, that's right... Reid, then Mike Marza, then Danielle Knox and possibly soon... calling Jeff Lennox at 4:00, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30pm. For now, he's still weekend anchor with Robbin Simmons, who's been anchoring weekends for at least 15 years now at 'SVN. 'SVN is the station that's home to longtimers in the market... Nerey, Stevens, Martinez, Simmons, Ferro, Shapiro, DiPasquale, Campbell, Cameron, Gonzalez, Diaz, Cruz, Fraiser, Linsalata, Lowe... I can keep going and going.
  20. Diana Diaz and Christine Cruz are still holding ship with Alex De Armas anchoring at times. Vivan Gonzalez has the 7 Weather and Stephen J. Gray and Laura Lane team up for 7 FastTrak Traffic. They also have Omar Lewis and Lorena Estrada (anchors of the weekend morning newscast) reporting in the morning, throughout the week. Ashley Jones has left WSVN and I had no idea until looking at her FB page just now and apparently, she left in August. Which means the 4:00, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30pm slot left by Danielle hasn't still been filled and Jeff Lennox has been filling-in in the meantime. And ever since former 'SVN-er Charles Billi left the station, Lynn has anchored with Reid Lamberty, some anchor after him in which I forgot and Danielle Knox.
  21. But now it stretches to 9:00am with an extra hour on its Bounce subchannel.
  22. So sad to hear. She is one of the greats in the market. She will be missed definitely. :-(
  23. That's ArtPrize and WOOD-TV has studios there as well. That's where they debuted their 7:00pm newscast on Tuesday and remains there until October 10th.
  24. I know Knox, Billi and Sorrell from their 'SVN days so I congratulate them all on their new rolls. Sad to hear Abatta go since I liked her at 'OFL and Bob Frier is so trusted in the market so I was surprised that's he joining mornings but I guess they wanted a new pair since Abatta was leaving. The only person unaffected was Stephen Hauck, who'll continue to do (the hour-long) NewsEdge at 6:00pm.
  25. Ask KUTV for that as well, except they air the first hour at 8:00am on KUTV and the second hour at 9:00am on its sister station, KMYU.
