well guys its official. KTXL did in fact got an update. they changed from the 3D Spinning Bug (the one i liked) to a static flattened Bug.
-
KTXL Starts using Bigger L3s for some reason. also the Spinning Fox 40 Bug doesn't seem to appear. i think they might get a graphics update.
-
Just realized that. Apologies.
No Problem.

CBS 13 News at 6:30 on CW 31 with Adrienne Moore and Dave Baker. This is a regular newscast, not just a temporary thing. KOVR 13 already does 11:00pm news for KMAX 31.
It's Dave Bender.
-
KMAX CW 31 now launches CBS 13 KOVR's News Coverage at 6:30PM. CBS programming on KOVR is Delayed due to March Madness Games.

Since FOX29 is in the process of getting a new set does anyone know if FOX5 is supposed to get one? How hold is the one they have now? And has anything besides the backdrop been refreshed?
2006.

CBS Primetime is still in the safe zone.
According to DCRTV former WMAR anchor turned WBAL Radio host Mary Beth Marsden has been let go from the station which has been suffering lowering ratings. She spent the past five years at the station after taking a buy out from WMAR.
I think I way to increase WBAL-AM's ratings would be to merge the news departments or make them much closer than they already are. Maybe bring them back to sharing a news director.
oh yeah that's right. primetime too. also TNT does it as well.
-
first FOX then CBS now NBC. they are starting to use their Logos for prime time TV shows and nightly news in the Corner instead of the Safe Zone. however CBS didn't quite exactly put theirs in the corner. but it does happen during PGA Tour broadcasts and some CBS events. the only stations that are still doing the Safe Zone is The CW, ABC and CBS (Daytime Shows). Local IDs are still shown in the Safe Zone.

At the moment, WGN is quite far from making any moves on a new set.
They have used their current set since 2005.

If by "sad" you mean "a little disappointing", and by "breaking news" you mean "happened a week ago", then yes, that's some "Sad Breaking News".
Yeah i meant a week ago my bad. also what's worse they took the News part of the logo out so now its just Simply 10.
-
Sad Breaking news everyone. WBNS Drops This Is Your News after it has been used since 1998.
-
as of 2016, KIEM 3 Still reports their News in the same Early 90s Format with its graphics and cant be HD yet due to their Sister Stations. and also laughable due to its market however its NBC programming is HD at least.
-
Is this during news programming, Primetime or syndicated?
I wonder if this will be a mandate and how will WJZ integrate it. When Colbert's show launched their countdown during news looked awkward compare to their sister stations.
Its used during news and promos. 3 CBS O&Os are doing it at the moment:
WBBM, KOVR and KPIX.

An article about Tribune and CW...

oh my word!

Well, KQDS isn't using the KDVR ripoff anymore. But they now seem to now be using a knock on the current Fox O&O graphics on at least the L3s.
Is it me, or does it look a bit better with the fade and the flipped layout?
KQDS is stuck in 2006. and Even FOX O&Os did better than that in 2006.

KXTV used to have Kings Games but stopped in favor of CSN:BA. The New Golden1 Arena Will probably have a CSN Studio inside. Funny how they still use the old comcast logo but use NBC Peacocks for their Bugs with only 1 ID containing the NBC Jingle.
-
KLAS still does IDs on weekends between Litton Programming and CBS Sports.

I'm pretty sure it hasn't been picked up for a second season yet.
if they don't then they will probably replace the show or rerun one of their other shows they already have like jeopardy!, wheel of fortune or Inside Edition.

I think the jury's out on that one. It wasn't doing that well to begin with, and then Tyra left, so we'll see.
actually. Fablife comes on a TEGNA Station. KXTV is keeping fablife.
-
What about The FABLife? Is that show being downgraded?
i believe that one stays. maury and jerry springer as well.

TVNewsCheck stated tonight that KCRA 3 is adding a new 4pm newscast, which will debut January 25.
now their really trying to get more people to watch KCRA than KOVR's 4pm News.
on another note KXTV now uses the Midday graphics that TEGNA rolled out on KTHV, WKYC and a few others.
-
As are KUSA, WUSA, WFAA, KHOU, KVUE, and KENS.

Presumably every TEGNA station is warning that their channels will be cut off from AT&T/Direct TV tomorrow.
This is also happening to Dish and U-verse as well. this is also affecting stations by media general and tribune also.
Stations affected in my area: KXTV, KTXL and KRON.

I've noticed during sweeps on certain days when there's a heavily promoted report WBAL forgoes commercials until the break between weather and sports. It was about 23 minutes into the show until they went to a normal commercial break. WBAL seems to be the only station to deviate from their normal break periods during sweeps.
Do any other stations do this? I assume it's a tactic to keep viewers tuned into your channel instead of flipping over to competitors.
for me KCRA does it also but only in between shows at 3PM and 4PM, Dr. Oz for example.

This is going to be interesting seeing KXTV and KTXL work together in my neighborhood. I already have 6 stations that work together in a single studio:
KCRA and KQCA
KOVR and KMAX
KUVS and KTFK
This could also lead to Dale shornack talking to Stephane Cruz and also possibly the ultimate breaking news team.
