    New graphics premiered.

The open basically looks the same, but has been made shorter.

The lower-thirds look cartoonish and they went with a bold condensed font for the main text. Is the text an afterthought?

The logo, now stacked in two lines, stays on the left side of the screen like the other CBS newscasts and local news. (Previously it would move above the lower-third.)

The font is Flama Condensed Bold. News and Sports uses it in tandem with TT Norms.

Recently (this week I think?) I saw a brief part of After Midnight on KTVT, then Comics Unleashed was on afterward.  IDK if that was a KTVT deal, or if that was a network thing.

It’s on KTVT’s end, they have the show on their late night schedule. I was tricked, too; I thought CBS had kept it around.

  3. Changes coming.

    - MiA expands to weekends with Hena Doba, airing from 7-10am ET starting January 27.

    Starting Jan. 27:

    - Elizabeth Vargas Reports and The Hill are switching timeslots. Vargas airs at 5pm ET and Hill at 6pm ET.

Weekday MiA is losing an hour, now airing from 6-9am ET, with Markie Martin solo-anchoring. Adrienne Bankert is moving to a special projects role. NN Live with Marni Hughes will air from 9am-noon ET, and NN Now with Nichole Berlie gains an hour, airing from noon-3pm ET.

  4. Pretty much any network that broadcasts the Super Bowl sends out their entire unit (news, sports and entertainment divisions) to the site of the game every year. Sometimes, the whole parent company of the network is involved.

Did they debut anything else but the lower thirds, OTS, and double box? Any new intro, transitions, etc or are they using a mish mash of this and their "old" package? If they did, have video?

Debuted the full package, intro and all.

Univision also carries the parade in Spanish as well.  Not sure if KTLA still has a local broadcast.

Seeing as the organization is non-profit, they're probably very liberal with their TV rights.  It's not like the Macy's Thanksgiving  Day Parade which has an exclusive arrangement with NBC, leaving CBS to broadcast the parade in the public domain as it's on a public street in New York.

KTLA still does their local broadcast and still repeats it throughout the day and in primetime. Their coverage is also on Great American Family.
