Surprised nobody posted this yet, but Vic Lombardi is leaving CBS4 Denver for Altitude TV at the end of the year. He'll be hosting Nuggets pregame, halftime, and postgame shows. He'll make his debut on Altitude New Year's Day. http://www.altitude.tv/news/vic-lombardi-altitude-sports/

Speaking of that, it appears the McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade is still intact on WGN America. I thought 2014 would be the last edition to be simulcast nationally because all Chicago-related programming was removed from the channel.

Does she somehow flutter her voice to imply dancing at the end?
No, they made her sound like a robot.

Linda K is still with the Lottery. She's now the main VO for the new digital drawings.

What is FHRITP?
A 6-word phrase idiots yell during live shots to get attention.
-
WGN just did a special report on the Cubs making the playoffs that had to be cut short because of FHRITP.

Longtime KDFW weekend sports anchor Max Morgan has passed away tonight from congestive heart failure, Uncle Barky reports. He just celebrated his 59th birthday last Friday.

I have two nitpicks about the WFAA execution of the graphics. They're not using the ticker for Daybreak and they're using the "NEWS" tab for traffic.
-
The Facebook explanation video is out, and it's the usual "It's too big for my screen" comments.
-
Dick Ervasti is still intact on the opens.Outside of MCTYW on WPVI, I don't know of too many image campaigns that lasted as long as TSoT. For those who've seen the new open, did they keep Mr. News-8-deep-voice or switch to some random generic guy to announce?
Doc Morgan handles promos and is the main VO for Good Morning Texas.

May be in the minority here, but I think the graphics are being executed well on WFAA right now.
The open features a six-note sig that leads into the TIH three-note sig. It sounds nothing like The Spirit sig, unfortunately.
-
Well, as expected, the new graphics and the This Is Home era starts at noon today, as a WFAA producer recently tweeted.
-
UPDATE: New website is live. http://www.wfaa.com/
-
No exact timetable, but they will more than likely debut them at noon. Are they launching the graphics at noon?
So far, the only WFAA personality who's warning people about the changes on social media is Jason Whitely. On air, they made no mention of the new website or graphics.
-
While WFAA is launching the graphics tomorrow, they're switching over to the Gannett website tonight at 11pm.
-
I tweeted John McCaa yesterday. He says WFAA will debut the Gannett graphics on Wednesday.
I also saw part of a Family Feud promo this morning that used the new graphics, and it looks like they're keeping their current logo (Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place here).

Chi-Town Rising was as bad as you thought it would be. They waited until 30 seconds after midnight to count down the new year. And Mario Lopez? Seriously? Nothing says Chicago like having Slater host your local NYE celebration. And I've never met a local that uses the saying "Chi-town".
You're better off watching Janet Davies and Mark Giangreco embarrass themselves on ABC 7 every New Year's Eve.
