While randomly live streaming WUSA tonight, I noticed they were using a red and blue scheme on the L3s for election stories. Any other stations doing this?
Sure, let's throw away a legacy news product in the largest media market in the country in favor of outsourced newscasts.
Get real, that's not happening.
Because of a power outage, and the backup generator not working, WMC did their 10pm by phone last night. They also did their morning news by phone because of audio issues.

It's the end of an era at ABC 7. Ron Magers is retiring this summer, as per Robert Feder.

Chi-Town Rising was as bad as you thought it would be. They waited until 30 seconds after midnight to count down the new year. And Mario Lopez? Seriously? Nothing says Chicago like having Slater host your local NYE celebration. And I've never met a local that uses the saying "Chi-town".
You're better off watching Janet Davies and Mark Giangreco embarrass themselves on ABC 7 every New Year's Eve.
Surprised nobody posted this yet, but Vic Lombardi is leaving CBS4 Denver for Altitude TV at the end of the year. He'll be hosting Nuggets pregame, halftime, and postgame shows. He'll make his debut on Altitude New Year's Day. http://www.altitude.tv/news/vic-lombardi-altitude-sports/
Speaking of that, it appears the McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade is still intact on WGN America. I thought 2014 would be the last edition to be simulcast nationally because all Chicago-related programming was removed from the channel.
