Intro and segment of the premiere edition of the French program Exclusif, aired by TF1 on 18 May 1998. The show was the local version of Entertainment Tonight, using the same graphics and music as ET: they also had a similar set as well. Exclusif aired for the last time on 30 May 2002.

I found this beautiful theme today but I don't know who composed it: Canal 13 in Buenos Aires used it on its lunchtime newscast (13.00) between 1984 and 1988. The sound quality of the excerpt is quite good: the user who uploaded this video to YouTube says he recorded the music from the TV speakers on a TDK audio cassette back in 1984.

I've found the theme used by Telefe Noticias between 1990 and 1992. Surprisingly, it's production music and it was composed by John Tesh! It's called "Destination Paris". Hope you'll like it!

A funny video from WXFL/WFLA in Tampa Bay (mid to late 1980s), where anchor Bob Hite mocks and dances to the theme music of Miami Vice. Includes appearances from Bill Ratliff and Gayle Sierens.

I'm trying to identify 2 themes: The first one (used by an Argentine cable channel to present the frontpages of the morning newspapers) sounds like being from Stephen Arnold. (here's the full clean cut, but without information about its composer) Also, this theme used by Brazil's Rede Bandeirantes evening news in the early 1990s. It's been used by Georgia Public TV for one of its idents.

Some sign-on videos from different parts of the globe. First, a rare and interesting start-up sequence: FR3 (now France 3) in the early 1990s. Thames (the ITV franchise that served London on weekdays) beginning its broadcast day in September 1982. Finally, a sign-on from 2003: before its regular programs, Canal 13 Buenos Aires aired a loop with the station's personalities welcoming the viewers and inviting them to watch their shows. This is followed by a public message, some bumpers, and ID and the start of its first program.

After almost 16 years at the anchor desk, Guillermo Andino stepped down from presenting America TV's 7pm newscast. He'll move to a mid-morning magazine in February; at the same time, the station will drop the long-running early evening newscast (launched in August 1997) to make way for a newsmagazine, a format that proved successful for the channel. https://www.lanacion.com.ar/espectaculos/television/la-emotiva-despedida-guillermo-andino-del-noticiero-nid2317767 Over the last couple of years, America TV has canceled many of its newscasts (midday, late night and Sunday evenings) and replaced them with newsmagazines. The station won't shut down its news department because it has a cable news channel called A24: anchors and reporters will continue to appear at both channels.

Is there a chance to find that scent commercial where Newswire was used as the soundtrack? That's strange!

A promo from CBC Sports in November 2002 with the lineup of Saturday afternoon events: Some promos from the Nine Network in 2003, from the old days of the modern, colorful graphic package. Finally, a station sign-on: Canal 13 began its broadcast day quite early on December 31st, 1999 (at 6:20am); it used to sign on at noon on weekdays and at 1pm on weekends at the time, but on that day it was forced to kick off earlier than usual due to the 26-hour special El Dia del Milenio.

IIRC, that program was also carried by some channels across South America. Canal 10 (in Montevideo, Uruguay) was one of them. Was this theme only used for auto racing and sponsors? A short promo of TF1's Saturday night lineup in November 1998. At the time, TF1 had a minimalistic identity: it relied on film footage of everyday people and places for its "jingles".

KTLA morning news headlines from 1982, read by Dixie Whatley. I'm not sure if she was still anchoring Entertainment Tonight at the time. In the 1990s, she moved to Boston and became WCVB's entertainment reporter.

A tour of Perth station TVW7 in 1982, hosted by local personality Peter Dean. It's interesting to see that the tapes and films used to broadcast programs and movies were flown from the eastern states (NSW and VIC) to WA. Perth was a 3-station market at the time (the others were ABW2 and STW9). It didn't get new channels until later in the decade, with the launch of SBS and NEW10.

I think that one of the reasons behind this crisis is the lack of advertisement (RTVE removed them in 2010). There are other public broadcasters around the world that survived without placing ads throughout their schedules, such as ABC in Australia.

This is not about TV: it's about radio, but I think you can help me. These are two bumpers used by Argentine radio station Mitre (AM 790) on its gossip segment that airs twice a day (weekdays at 7am and 4:30pm). I'm not sure if it's production music or not.
