  1. A 12-minute preview of what was going to be the cable channel Volver, launched by Artear on August 1st, 1994. The channel airs old Argentine TV shows and movies, similar to Decades and MeTV in the US. The music themes for the promos and IDs were composed by Eddie Sierra.
  2. The intro of ABC's legendary music video show Rage in 1995. https://archive.org/details/ABC_TV_-_RAGE_intro_ABQ-2_1995 I've always found strange that a program like this aired on the ABC and not in a commercial network like Nine, Seven or Ten, despite Ten had Video Hits and Nightshift.
  3. A compilation of Nine Network's cricket intros from 1979 until 2018:
  4. I didn't know that Janet Peckinpaugh worked in Richmond before moving to Connecticut.
  5. A loop used by TVE1 in Spain in 2003, with Moby's theme "Porcelain". This loop aired when the station had technical problems or when it was waiting to join one of its regional services to broadcast local programming.
  6. Peter Jennings anchoring a weekend ABC News Brief during the network's coverage of the 1984 Summer Olympics. Includes a promo of ABC's team for the Republican National Convention, using the jingle "We're With You".
  7. A portion of the 1998 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony taped from Canal 13, narrated by Gonzalo Bonadeo (June 9, 1998). Includes two promos of the station's coverage of the Cup (see 13:09 and 39:28), calling themselves as "the professionals", and a brief news preview, voiced by the late Débora Pérez Volpin (see 59:27)
  8. Some ABC Sports themes from the 1990s composed by Edd Kalehoff: Tournament of Roses https://kalehoff.sourceaudio.com/#!details?id=12208516 Tour de France https://kalehoff.sourceaudio.com/#!details?id=13673376 ABC Sports intro (urban) https://kalehoff.sourceaudio.com/#!details?id=12166444 Auto Racing https://kalehoff.sourceaudio.com/#!details?id=12166752
  9. January 4th, 1999: the day when Canal 9 became Azul Televisión. This is the campaign used to launch the new brand. It was voiced by Luis Albornoz, one of the best announcers in South America.
  10. Telefe's station ID from the mid-1990s and the intro of the Australian show "It's a Knockout!" (from Network Ten) that the station aired under the name Supermatch for many years. It was a terrific show!
  11. CBS Sports intro and excerpt of US Open tennis coverage on September 10, 1995, the day of the big switch in Philadelphia. This excerpt is from KYW, one of the two stations involved in the switch.
  12. Part of the graphic package used by Canal 13 in 2001. Includes a transition between programs, where the colorful fire is replaced by a lava-lamp liquid, followed by the presentation of a soap. It was recorded right after Telenoche on 9/11. There's plenty of coverage from Argentinian cable channels in this video too.
  13. An excerpt of CTV's National News with Dana Lewis filling in for Sandie Rinaldo (May 3, 1998)
  14. A full broadcast of CBWT's 6pm newscast in March 2005, during the time of the hybrid format of local news (with Krista Erickson) and Canada Now (with Ian Hanomansing) from Vancouver.
  15. A full broadcast of the CBS Evening News (March 9, 2005), when Dan Rather retired from the anchordesk. Includes the final segment of WBZ's 6pm newscast. Anyone knows the name of the anchor filling in for Jack and Lisa?
  16. A somber commercial of the defunct Argentinian cable company Multicanal in 1997. I hope you don't get scared by this! Multicanal merged with Cablevisión in 2008.
  17. Two hours of news from WJZ in June 1989 (includes the noon, 6pm and 11pm newscasts) https://archive.org/details/WJZ-EYE-084-047
  18. If you're an NBA fan, you're going to like this: a full broadcast of Canal 13's show La Magia de la NBA, that every week summarized the best of the NBA, including interviews and special reports. It aired on Sundays at midnight between 1994 and 2000, right after Fútbol de Primera. In this November 1997 episode, the program pays tribute to Charles Barkley and Isiah Thomas.
  19. I usually don't post these things, but the other day I was watching this episode of the four-part TV series Video Fantasies, produced by Channel 4 in the UK in 1992. This one introduces a pretty young Kate Beckinsale as a teenager living in a complicated world, dominated by chaos, technology, pollution and consumerism. Some of the interesting things about the show are the computer-generated effects and the sound bumpers heard throughout the program, reminding me of those used by Channel 4 itself and some ITV franchises (the first one appears at 0:51) I was surprised to see a huge VTR machine, while the girl is destroying some nonsense tapes!
  20. WBZ airs Wheel and Jeopardy! since 2009.
  21. Canal 13's two-minute promo about its schedule in March 1994: The station happily announced the premiere of several movies, Melrose Place, the telecast of the Academy Awards and the return of Fútbol de Primera, El Show del Clio and the Sunday morning auto racing broadcasts. This was one month before the station adopted its current logo, designed by C&G Partners.
  22. A montage of ITV's intros of the Formula One broadcasts between 1997 (when they took the rights away from the BBC) until 2008 (when the BBC regained the rights)
  23. In May 1993, Canal 13 launched an impressive campaign, promising that you'll be able to see 3D television. The station aired some shorts of landscapes and animals during 360 and Telenoche, two of its most important programs. More than 2 million glasses were sold: it costed $1. It was considered a failure, but it's something that those to have the chance to see it still remember to this day. Some promos of the campaign: Here's an example of the footage that you could see on "3D".
  24. WLS' Harry Porterfield interviews veteran announcer Ron Rolland (c. 2002/03)
  25. A shortened edition of the CBS Evening News with Susan Spencer, who was filling in for Connie Chung (Sunday, June 10, 1990) The broadcast was delayed due to a NBA game.
